PR teams aren't always consulted. And if they push back, they can be replaced.
I mean its not even vague that can be turned into something like “it was for media” when things cool down. This seems like nuclear statement, determined to leave no way back

Without wanting to shit on Sancho too much, obviously not great but that's partially on ten hag. If you have a player do really well in pre season and not get a look in, then it's inevitable that he'll eventually also give up a bit mentally. Just looks like he's not in our plans and that sancho knows it now.
I disagree. He has played games - may not have started, but he has come in and had very little impact on meaningful games.

I like Sancho, honestly I really want him to do well, mainly because of the immense promise he carried, however it's just not worked out that way so far

So we lost another away game and ETH diverts attention to a player he didn’t sign and that didn’t play today. Rather than talk how vast majority of our fans didn’t expect a single point today due to our terrible form and how we took two goals in injury time, we can finally go ins on bashing a lad that had nothing to do with our performance tonight. Way to go

So those of you who don't have an issue with ETH criticising Sancho, would you be okay with either Murtough or Arnold coming out and criticising ETH in public?

After all, they're his his bosses. I'd love to know the story about who's asking for some of these players from eridivisie - so let's get Murtoughs perspective out in public.

What players? Martinez probably our best CB? Give over mate. Antony hasn’t been great but your not going to get ALL your transfers right.

ETH gave Sancho 3 months off during the season last summer. If hes said something about him in public its because hes had enough.

As for Murtough and Arnold. They are better off explaining why the only CB ETH got this summer was Evans

feck me, back to the issues of a toxic dressing room. We got a load of players that Eric has publicly dumped on, that are still here. Im not entirely sure some players have liked the managers methods either.

fecking cloud over OT just wont go away...

If Your boss gave you three months off on full pay to get your head straight would you come back after that period and give him 200% effort to show how grateful you are? Or would you half arse it?

Mr Sancho needs to take a good hard look at himself. He should be given 100% support for any mental health issues he may be going through, but there are no excuses for not giving 100% effort in training and match days. It is completely unacceptable.

Absolutely, but he has done quite well in his first season. If after 3 years we see no improvement then yes, someone should definitely say something to let us know that they have standards.

Ten Hag is not Mourinho, he is not going to publicly call out a player unless it’s absolutely necessary. Whatever is going on I feel sancho is in the wrong

You are a **** then who is just simping around with an authoritative figure in your life according to someone here.

My dominatrix says I am to disagree with you vehemently and then I am allowed unlock myself for five mins

So you gonna ignore the whole of last season when he defended him and protected him. Lie and protect him for forever now? No accountability at any point?
That should be part of the responsibility of the manager for their players. This shouldn't have been made public. You think the club's going to benefit from all this shit now being a public dispute? It was completely unnecessary for ETH to bring it up. Nothing positive was ever going to come from it.

You need to actually watch the video of the manager’s comments.

I dont understand how people think ETH shouldn’t have said what he did. He was asked a question on what basis Sancho wasnt selected, and he gave a simple plain one. Its not that brutal as well, just that there were better options than Sancho in attack. Sancho statement is mind boggling. How could his PR team allowed him to put that garbage in public
No fear of any repercussions. Too entitled and thinks players hold all the power and are bigger than the manager especially after getting rid of the few before. The culture is rotten.

We played decently well considering our injury situation and the fact that we lost both of our CB. We conceded a dubious goal in 95th minute and had a goal disallowed by millimetre margins.

Also question of Sancho was asked and ETH responded that he wasnt injured but was dropped. Watch the video.

I would back the manager in this case even if we were in relegation zone.

I heard a rumour that the players blame the current injury issues on ETH’s intensive double training sessions during pre season.

Pretty sure hes played this season and not done much.

If he was turning up late to work and missing training sessions and Murtough called him out on it after covering for him for a full year then it would be okay.

Sell the fecker for whatever price to Saudi and count our selves lucky. People talk about attitude or whatever but the truth is his game has always been limited, if you watched when Dortmund played in the CL (e.g. against PSG) you would've seen this

I never suggested ETH started shooting from his hip about Sancho without a question from a journalist, but I think many other managers would be scathed after giving such a response publicly following a bitter loss.

Looks like Rashford has liked the post.

Shits hitting the fan as per usual with us
Not meaning to be a gloom and doomster but things like this can spell the the beginning of the end. Usually hate international breaks but might be a good time.

Sick of this shit happening at the club. The lunatics have been running the asylum ever since Ferguson retired

I don’t think we should sack Ten Hag (yet) but giving a manager that is out of his depth 3 seasons is incredibly damaging to our chances or ever recovering.

There’s really nothing wrong with what ten Hag said though.

Why? Did you watch the video where ETH answered the question? He was asked if both Scott and Sancho were injured. He responded Scott was and Sancho was dropped. People would have forgotten in a week’s time. But Sancho statement was that his performances are okay and there is a bigger conspiracy against him for not being selected. Thats bonkers

At some point mental health issues are a cover.

It's quite funny that this is probably the biggest impact Sancho has had since joining the club. This is the most he's been talked about in a long, long time.

Sancho has been like this way before ten Hag was at United so it's not ten Hag's fault.

Sancho is a waster and that's simply it. And he dares to treat me like an idiot with that social media PR bullshit.

'Scapegoat'? Give me a break.

It's not the first time with him where his punctuality or attitude has been questioned. It was said that he played video games all night and hence struggled to get up for training sessions. I think he'll be moved on in January but he's said to be on a big wage which is another issue. So I can only see a loan deal being a option.

And the tweet below is from over 2 years ago.

People would have started sending abusive messages to Sancho's social media. ETH should have just said Sancho was injured. That everybody would have forgotten in a week's time. Nobody is forgetting this.

Thought it was a bit weird that Pellistri stayed after been linked away so much, now it makes sense.

Rashford, Garnacho, Antony, Pellistri, (and Amad), we don't actually need Sancho.

It’s a shame Sancho is in the middle of this.

No issue with the statement from ETH nor counter by Sancho.

My only issue is the line he “just wants to play with a smile”. To this I say lad “try the playground near your house”, this is Utd and not a play date.

Came across this comment on Reddit

To be fair while this statement is ill advised, I think people are misinterpreting it. I think Sancho is focusing on the people stirring up shit about Ten Hag's comments rather than criticising Ten Hag. Like we see Ten Hag saying he's not up to standards in training and people are (understandably) then saying he's lazy, not putting effort in etc which is probably infuriating for Sancho.

He shouldn't have made this statement but I think it's not aimed at the manager hence the ending paragraph. I don't see this as the doom and gloom statement and drama that most here seem to. Just poor wording. Like you can really tell he wrote this himself rather than his PR team doing some generic copy and paste bullshit.

Hopefully thats the case. And if it is that case then Sancho should fire the person who wrote that abomination of a statement
