Another player we'll have to work pretty hard to shift out of the club, considering the money he is on.

The last thing we needed was drama. These things are best handled in house.

I've not been happy with Sancho's performances since he's joined, but I still don't like the manager singling out individual players in public. Keep that behind closed doors. Rarely ever helps when this stuff goes public.
Agreed. I hated when Mou through players under the bus. Even when it’s accurate it’s not productive. The media will dine off that quote for ages

Great now it's a public drama. ETH shouldn't have said anything. Sorry, but didn't like this sort of behaviour when Jose did it and I don't like it when ETH does it either
ETH is just being honest. I see nothing wrong. It's not like he attacked Sancho he's setting the standard - train well and you play. Not his fault Sancho can't be arsed.

Sancho just escalated the situation. Ten Hag didn’t say anything that bad. Sancho should just take the criticism on board and work harder.
Easy for us to say. Sancho would have been getting abuse on his social media following ETH's comments no doubt.

He protected Sancho last season.

Astonishing the money that's been wasted on Sancho and Antony. You'd have to go a fair way down the table to find any clubs that would swap their right wingers for us. £150m down the drain.

To be fair to Mkhitaryan, he was very good during our EL campaign when we won it, and we moved on from him relatively quickly when it became clear it wasn't working.
Yeah, both Mkhi and Kagawa were better than Sancho - especially when you look at the fees. But none of them were really good or the long term solutions that we were hoping for.

I believe ETH over Sancho. I'm sorry. This guy has been shit 90% of the time he's played. His workrate has been non-existent. I have no issue believing he doesn't bother in training.

Nice

Now we have a public disagreement between the manager and player

If he’s conducted himself well though why wasn’t he picked? We literally picked a third keeper ahead of him today

The drama around the club is more entertaining than what's happening on the pitch, so let 'em cook. Maybe it somehow makes the parasites reconsider, who knows?

His time here is done. What a disaster it has been. One summer spent chasing him, the other spending a shit load of money on him, giving him a huge contract and him being utterly shite the entire time he’s been here.

Now there’s social media drama.

He is finished here. He's gone backwards since he joined. Lost his England place, lost his club place and now can't get a spot in the squad. Attitude matters at an elite level.

How many will take him on his current wage?

Loan move with us covering most of the salary is the most likely outcome

I am no Sancho fan but Eth has trashed him a lot in public which isn’t a good idea
He hasn't trashed him. He said he hasn't hit the required performances in training and we have other options in those wide attacking positions.

ETH has defended him in the past and given him infinitely more minutes than his performances ever deserved.

If he's calling him out now, things must be pretty bad.

And it is very difficult to improve attitude if you dont want to

Needs to leave the prem. Back to Germany to assist Kane at Bayern. On loan. With us paying 70% of his wages no doubt.

You know, this statement would be a lot easier to get behind if any of what he said came to fruition on a football pitch.

Playing with a smile on his face, fighting for the badge, grateful to be playing for the club. When, where did any of that happen?

It's about what came first. Was he training fine during pre season? He was involved and getting praise, just not starting. Players lose motivation if they feel like their efforts aren't rewarded, could be what happened here.
Maybe the pre season was the carrot to show what he could have if he applied himself?

At £350,000 per week ….he’s unsellable

On wages like that, he really should be the best performing player at the club. He should be undroppable with wages like that. But he isn't. The amount of poor or below average performances he has put in outweigh the good ones. He is the problem. Rather than putting out statements to save his own neck, it's about time he took responsibility for himself.

''ive been made a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair'' ...... ?

The club gave him months off so he could get his head right, came back and played 1-2 good games, this reminds me of Ragnick vs Martial / Lingard, toxic dressing room still

Ooooof. But yeah, you are spot on.
