Jack Grealish | Man City

Awful in the first half, you could see for the second he was desperate for someone to be alongside him as he'd have dropped his arse 1 on 1, did well to pick up the loose ball though but he's just not good enough at the moment and I'm not convinced he ever will be

Yeah if Haaland hadn't ran with him he was bottling that for sure. Still 2 assists might do his confidence some good. Hopefully he can add some end product cause his all round game is fine besides.

Greelish is the worst buy of all time! Nothing wrong with the player as such but the club have no place for him. Cannot understand what Guardiola was thinking about bringing him to city. To get the best out of Greelish he must be played as a number 10, not stuck out on the left wing. City don't need him as they've already got one of the best "no 10's" in world football and Foden is far superior to him down the left side.

Such a nothing player. A disaster of a signing. Awful really. Those calves though..me with my chicken legs. Lovely stuff

Never thought he would fit in particularly well at City. I thought he would’ve been a good player for us and suited our play more, however I’m glad we didn’t go for him in hindsight. He would have been a total flop for us as he doesn’t have the overall match superiority that City have which masks how shite he’s been.

Grealish is just fortunate he joined a side who win regularly enough that he doesn't have to take any heat for the way he plays. That first half from him yesterday was almost embarrassing to watch. If a player who cost even half as much as him played like that for any top 6 side, they'd be getting pelters.

He's getting this much flack in a game where he came away with 2 assists?

Standards really are high.
Tbf the assists covered up a poor performance against an awful Leeds team. Some of the comments here a over the top though.

He missed some sitters but he's getting in the right positions and getting chances. I think he will shut up critics soon.

Its insane. You can see the lad is playing with the weight of expectation on his shoulders but he's played over 1000 minutes this season already for the defending champions with the bulk of games yet to come.

Did you watch the game? He was rancid in the first half.

It's more of a cumulative thing anyway. He signed for £100m during what should be his peak years for the most free scoring team in the league. Look at the numbers he's delivered by comparison, does that really demonstrate high standards?

pretty much. He is a Spurs player imo. Would be a hero there.

So now the player is responsible for his price tag

No, but he's responsible for his performances. Plenty of players have been singled out for underperforming relative to their fee though, and many of those haven't cost £100m.

He wasn't rancid, yes his end product was poor but he was ok besides. His build up play and everything bar the big chances was fine.

Ultimate style mis match.

A player who craves a huge amount of time on the ball, playing for a team who knock it about quickly and sharply.

Pepe has replaced Sterling who was frustrating him as feck in front of goal with a player who is one year younger and just as bad if not worse. His moment came last season when he had a chance to kill the game against Madrid and he blew it.

27 years of age supposed to be by now prime of career. Can't hit a cow's arse with a banjo, the amount of chances he squanders. Not that just he is just a frustrating as feck player.

Lazy dogshit of a player for 100m.

It really was not fine to be fair. Poor decision making saddled with poor finishing made it at best an average performance, and this was one of his better games no?

Grealish is on the fast track to obscurity. A massive reputation but his performances are not supporting that reputation. Sooner or later he will run out of credit. He either needs to improve his base line consistency or find consistency at a slightly lower level (which there is no shame)

I'm not aware he selected his price tag. That does change everything.
I know he personally couldn't do anything about how much City chose to pay for him but I guess life is unfair.

He's being judged as a £100m player and his performances really don't meet those standards.

He's the prime example of British over hype. Same would/will happen to Rice.

Just shows hold good their squad is that a 100m flop is under no pressure from the press. Sancho has far more scrutiny despite being much younger and cheaper.

Only another 4.5 years of his contract at 300k a week. Talent with no brain.

By the time his 6 year contract ends he'll be 31 and have zero resale value. His value has probably already gone down to 30m as it is.

How can Haaland get a service with Jack throwing himself down every 2 minutes?
Hai service ends up hoping someone slips a ball through from 30 yards away or yet another set piece when he isn’t good with his head

This can’t be a 100 million player? Just ball carrying and drawing fouls? No output, no final ball, no teamwork. His job should be to supply Halaand but he doesn’t really care. What a self-centred player.

If this was Antony, half the caf would be frothing at the mouth in pure rage
