Italian Serie A 2022/23

I'm expecting a reduction as well, but nothing is excluded. The beauties of italian justicia.

Impression is a reduction rather than outright voiding of the penalization

Juve -15 appeal starting right now with three possible outcomes:

a) confirm -15 deduction straight away;
b) suspend -15 deduction and send the case back to FIGC for “defective irrogation” and “redefinition of the penalty”;
c) void -15 deduction straight away.

Armchair experts and journos pushing for b) in order to let the league finish orderly while giving both parties more time to consider / agree a single package for a transaction or a longer trial in June.

And the winner is… b).

You don’t say.

Points back, new trial: https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Seri...tenza-live-penalizzazione-4601207343295.shtml …. “The Coni ruling, Juve's appeal partially accepted: the 15 points are back, now a new assessment.”

As with the Inter fan, we are not your therapists, though?

This pronunciation is the bare minimum not to have the league suspended by the ordinary justice tomorrow at midday, and yet it leaves all the options open to all parties.

Why the feck we had to play three months with -15 is anyone guess, I would say not to put pressure on Napoli, so that they can stroll to their much deserved scudetto?

Imagine Torsello & Santoriello face if their coup was successful enough to halt us while at the same time voiding the season.

that was the bare minimum.
I mean they didn't write at all how they came to pick -15 at all.
That was absurd on so many levels

Session notes #29
The patient is still clinging to his delusional rationalizations ...

... yet, despite the insistence in referring to himself with a plural pronoun, he's showing encouraging progress in acknowledging his position in the sessions.

-15 for 3 months... +15 suddenly, and then in two more weeks they could be -15 again. or -10. or -5....

to say it's absurd is a compliment.

Rigging it up to have 5 Serie A team in CL next season :wenger:

Lazio losing at home is a surprise, they’ve been on a good run and had an outside chance of putting pressure on Napoli.

Dia looks interesting, not for a top team but he looks a handful at Salernitana

No Giroud, Rebic up top, the goals will have to come from elsewhere. Enough quality in this team to dispatch Lecce with ease.

Well, Lecce came to fight, not to play. Good thing we scored at least one in the first half because i foresee a flurry of cards in the second half.

ante rebic is not a real footballer. he's a joke and seeing him in this kit makes me ill.

Lazio had been having too good result. Their level is closer to Atalanta than the point and position suggest. They have these performance. These result is expected to pop up here and there for them.

Torino only had a few games this season where they let the game go out of control. They tend to have tight game even when losing. Goalkeeper error and everything Lazio didn't look like they could beat Torino at 0-0.

What a delicious ending.

Cuadrado is one of the biggest cheats in the game so wonderful viewing to see him dive, ref just dismiss it and then Raspadori scores a minute later in the space he should've been marking him.

Not sure why Locatelli was getting involved in the Napoli celebrations either.

Not sure if there was a foul for Juventus’ disallowed goal.

Milik touches Lobtoka's shin before playing the ball. I thought it was the right call although in the prem they'd have probably dismissed it as another phase of play.

I think he was telling them to stop celebrating… He probably thought it was a provocation and didn’t want some dumb fans to react badly.

That was a fun match. Absolute scenes at the end. There was a foul on Lobotoka but on first viewing I thought he won the ball. League could be wrapped up next week

I actually do expect them to fall out of the top 4 now, still have to face both Milan teams away.

Atalanta is a bit too far now Juve is back in the mix. Still a lot of head to head between Inter, Milan, Lazio, Juventus, Roma, Atalanta to write any teams off even if Atalanta can't win against Roma tomorrow.

Yeah, Napoli have been consistently two notches above the rest this year, so well done for their scudetto #3.

So if Napoli win their next game and Lazio drops point they win the league?

Easily the most entertaining league these last couple of seasons. Very end to end. High intensity games.

Which of your kids is actually the best prospect out of interest long term? Gatti, Soule or Miretti? Fagioli also played a bit when Pirlo was manager.

Gatti is not a kid, he turns 25 in two months, but he is having a bit of an unconventional career, I guess. Went from being a bricklayer and amateur footballer to starting for Juventus in four years.

I don't rate any of the other kids particularly high, to be honest. They are in the mix, because this is a poor squad and we need to save some money. Soule is a winger without pace or outstanding dribbling ability. He is a bit of a Dybala, but without the latter's deadly left foot. Hard to see a role for him in a good team. Fagioli is already 22, he has some nice touches, but lacks strength or any other outstanding ability. Miretti is the youngest of them and you can tell that he is still fairly green. I like the way he moves between the line and is looking to move the ball forward. He really needs to work on his final ball, though, as he often squanders promising situations.

That said, they are all playing their first real season in Serie A and for Soule and Miretti it is the first real senior season at all. While none of them looks particularly outstanding, they are holding up in what is a very difficult season for the club. I'd rather have them make up the numbers than having a bunch of Paredes or Ramsey type of players.

Napoli (fans & players alike) have already started the celebrations.

Over ten thousand fans to welcome Napoli to the city after the victory against Juventus. The Scudetto party has already started
