Italian Serie A 2022/23

Anybody who paid the least bit of attention to these teams should have seen this coming really

Juventus are mediocre, plain and simple. They're only in this position because luck, milan missing half their team and inter having their fingers stuck up their arses. They beat the rest because they still have better players
Napoli should logically steam roll the league but im still not sure if spalleti is going to avoid stumbling in the secondary half the way he usually does.

Also allegri shouldn't really let go, there's no future for juve with him Up top.

Napoli will steamroll the league. 47 points out of 54 and there's very little element of luck there. They are too good not to win the league from here, and Milan, Inter, Juventus and Roma aren't good enough to make up the gap

They also play all of their big games bar juventus at home from here on out

Juve and Chelsea... World would be beter place without them.

Yes, that’s the damning evidence showing Allegri’s football is toast nowadays… and yet, without any relatable footballing hierarchy behind or above him, with the coming months promising to be adventurous off the court, to put it gently, he needs to stay and bring the ship home without a much more calamitous wreck.
well of course
Dude came in all swag, huge salary, carte blanche, "let me remind you how it's done", and then after one season and a half he's got no homework to show.
The least he can do for Juve is stay mum and chill, deliver a 2nd-4th place, and then look himself in the mirror.

We had Trapattoni 2.0 and Lippi 2.0 as well, and both doing worse than their first iteration.

I mean, being a football fan in these contemporary times, with the internet, the fans and all the media circus acting like red fishes without any memory of yesterday, is a distortion of reality. It also means idiots shouting louder and grown ups acting like toddlers, which does not help for sure.

Lippi 2.0 was pretty decent all things considered.

erm, if Allegri 2.0 ended up going like Lippi 2.0, you'd have a poll like this on the front-page of Gazzetta's site...

Who's the daddy of all coaches in the universe?
take your pick:
[ ] Allegri
[ ] Allegri

Imagine trying a Conte 2.0 :boring:

Do Juve even have the money to do what he demands these days?

Think Ancelotti the sequel is what you need. Have Pogba dominating Serie A midfields when he's 42 with Di Maria at 46 finishing off his long passes.

Milan 2-0 down to Lecce. Big result for Napoli if it stays like that

Milan have really struggled against Lecce, too. They've allowed Lecce to switch the ball with lots of ease, and Milan's full backs have struggled big time with Lecce's wing play.

One of my best friends is a huge Milan fan and he's so overdramatic when they don't win. Reckons they'll finish 6th now

Inter winning 1-0.. Waiting for Lukaku to come in and help Verona find an equalizer.

Yeah. I was the idiot and I did apologize to Bepi
@Bepi, sorry man!

No problem, mate. Great great game Napoli, put in the perspective of their campaign and it could kickstart a glorious second part of season, not only within Italy but also in the CL. Good luck!

Slowly, but surely, Gasperini makes his way into calcio olymp. What a ride Atalanda has been on since 16/17 - admirable!

I'd never get used to seeing so many high scoring games in serie a of all places.

Never feels natural.

Great by Atalanta. I hope they can make it into a European competition next season. Wonderful team to watch

Looks like Atalanta come out nicely from their winter slump in time for a wounded Juve.

I said with way they play Lookman would be posting some crazy figures this year (based on his career so far).

Currently on 9 goals from 17 games.

Most he's scored in a league season was 6 for Leicester last year.

Dybala keeps on scoring. If Roma hold on to this they will be joint fifth, alongside Atalanta and Lazio. Only 3 points behind Juventus and Inter…

Dybala has been playing well, still a brilliant technician. I don't think Roma are strong enough for top 4 but Mourinho is doing alright

They will not be happy, yet Coppa Italia is just a distraction in Spring when you are really going for bigger (and once-in-a-generation) titles.

Looks to me like they did this intentionally, although could be wrong of course. But with Serie A going so well, my guess is that they will fancy their chances in the Champions League too. They don't need Coppa Italia as an extra distraction.

I don’t really think so :D yet it shows how difficult is to stay focused game in game out if a club is not used to.
