Italian Serie A - 2019-20

One of those they loaned out for a few years. I think he's actually a Sassualo player now but could be wrong.

Actually started the opening game of 2017 season for them when they lost 3-2 at home to Burnley although seemed that was more of a protest selection by Conte to board over lack of signings made that summer.

Yeah, he's a Sassuolo player now. We sold him a couple of years ago for about £3 mil with a buyback and sell-on clause.

He started that game but one of our centre backs got sent off in the first 20 mins and Boga got subbed. Incredibly unlucky.

Chelsea recently agreed with Sassuolo to remove the sell on percentage clause but add a buy out clause of 20 mil Euros.

Atalanta only 1 point off Inter if Parma hold on to the lead here and Inter still have to travel to Bergamo on the last matchday

Atalanta's attacking play and options are scary. Their defensive play is also scary at times mind you.

Makes for some very entertaining matches. I feel like they'll trouble anyone left in the CL & have the potential to cause a big upset.

Interesting couple of minutes! I didn't even see how Kucka managed to get himself sent off.

Has Sanchez been playing?

Yes been an Inter regular from the matches I've seen this season playing just off Lukaku. Was injured for two months around November. Doubt Inter can afford him full time though.

Of course 10 matchdays to go but i think the race for the Champions League places is over......Roma aren't steady enough and Napoli have lost of course too much points in 2019.

I just googled him :lol::

Has he been playing well?

Pippo Inzaghi's Benevento have been promoted from the Serie B, with 7 games to spare. Also Loic Remy is having his medical with them, as he joins them on a free after his contract ended with Lille.

Also, it seems like Roma have offered a 3 year contract to Cavani, would be nice to see him in Italy after 7 years away but a 3 year contract for a 33 year old might be a bit much.

Nico Zaniolo is back in training for Roma, should be fit enough to be on the bench by the end of July. He'd been out since Jan 12th when he tore his ACL against Juve.

Il capitano Chiellini and Gigi Buffon have both extended their contracts with Juve for another year. Can't believe Gigi will be playing for a top European side at 42 years of age.

Sanchez goal and assist, Young scored too. 2-0 to Inter, Sanchez looks like best player on the pitch.

Assist from Alexis to Young for the first goal.

The second was scored via penalty by Alexis (Penalty over Moses after a top pass by Alexis...)

Playing great up front with lautaro. Playing more like a false 9.

the other game he replaced Erikssen as the attacking midfielder and he turn the game around, they end up winning.

Playing centrally and with freedom, you get the best of Alexis nowadays.

Milan losing 2-0 to SPAL after 30 minutes. Wouldn't be surprised to see an exodus of players if they fail to nail down a UCL/Europa spot.

which players? the only ones clubs might be interested in are Donnarumma and Romagnoli and they seem pretty loyal

Maaaaaaybe Paquetà

Anyways with FFP suspended they shouldn't have much trouble

Hasn't Rebic been in good form lately although think he's only on loan?

Losing Romagnoli and Donnarumma would set the club back a few years in terms of what precious little progress has been made in the last few years. Even players like Ibra, Leao, Kessie, Conti, etc might not be top notch players but I guarantee you if they leave Milan to look for European football elsewhere, whoever Milan buys as their replacement will definitely be worse.

Atalanta with yet another impressive result, this time against the current Coppa Italia holders, Napoli. They are to present day football what Dortmund were to football back in Klopp's glory days.

I don't get the rules for handball anymore :wenger:

That can't be a penalty imho. And the Yellow card is ridiculous either way

Oh well, De Ligt will be the first player to play with arms bound to his chest at this rate

Is Belotti ever going to move on? I admire his loyalty but Torino had a better team a few years back.

Juventus struggling. They don't look very good to be frank.

I think they've got quite a tricky run in, play Atalanta in a few weeks and also Sassualo in good form. You just know though they'll do the bare minimum to win games like today while Lazio will be lights out but drop points to a bottom 8 team somewhere. And Ronaldo stepping up when it really matters.

Juve have looked pretty good in recent games actually. Even today they were great before the penalty completely changed momentum.

Refereeing has been horrendous in Serie A, Juve must be getting the karma from all the favourable calls they had over the years

Nice free kick goal Ronaldo.

He should try it with effet more often.

Need to print this out and stick it up on the wall @Peyroteo actually praising a Juventus performance!

Ronaldo wraps up the the 3 points, won't be the last time in the run in.

I dont usually comment on hair styles, but what the hell did that Torino player do with his hair? Bizarre stuff.

Belotti has not been great for multiple seasons now. His goal returns are average when you take away the penalties

I've criticized Rabiot a lot this season but recently he's been a beast, there's a great player in there if he can keep this level consistently.

De Ligt will be an all time great when he's done, incredible what he's doing at his age. Still makes ocasional mistakes but at 20 years old everyone does, he'll be a huge miss for the Milan game since Chiellini and Demiral are still out.
