Now it's been reported he isn't going on loan to Tromso. He's to return to United early March.

That's right.

That's great news for both him and United. I'm hoping he gets to settle in properly and really get going.

He was brilliant today, looks like we’ve unearthed a gem here. Although he was kinda high profile when we signed him.

I know that's just a highlight reel in an u-18 game, but that was very Scholesesque

Based on those two minutes I think we can safely conclude he'll be linking up brilliantly with Haaland for both club and country.

Best I’ve seen him play for us. Hasn’t been that impressive previously to me, but it’s clear he’s settling in and coming out of his shell now. By the time he’s 18 he could look a hell of a prospect.

I watched bits of the game..looks a class act.
He also loves a nutmeg. Pulled of two in quick succession.

Thought he was our best player against Sunderland myself, but yesterday was definitely his best performance for us. Made the game look effortless and just controlled the tempo. I really hope he fulfills his potential. We haven't had a payer who can play through balls in behind defenders like that since Scholes.

But either the commentators better simply call him Hansen, or at least make an effort to pronounce his other name correctly. He is not even close to getting it right.
Pronounce it something like:

Ore: Eau: N with a pause after Ore and Eau

That is a cracking little compilation video. I love this kind of player. There is definitely something Scholesy about him in his vision, skill and neatness on the ball. Hope he keeps on progressing.

Daehli MkII or Norwegian Iniesta?

Dæhlie is actually a pretty decent player, think he could've developed into a very good player if he had stayed longer.

Not saying top 4 quality, but better than being used in a comparison that way ;)

He had a good game but he also had a few really bad ball-losses in dangerous positions. A bit Galbraith-esque in that respect.

I am sure these are just highlights and a lot also went wrong in the game, but he looks an amazing midfielder.

Norway apparently has 6-7 extraordinary talents born 2004.

The biggest talent is a guy called Andreas Schjelderup (pronounced something like Shell-drupp) who recently became the youngest player in the danish topflight to score 2 goals. Isak Hansen Aaroen is considered the second biggest talent from that agegroup. In addition you have a player called Elias Solheim who is likely to join Juventus after the pandemic and the fourth mentioned is Syver Aas

I know it's madness, but Norway might just end up going to the World Cup in 2026 if all these guys develop properly and Haaland, Ødegaard, Berge, Sørloth, Hauge and so on keep getting better. Exciting times to be a Norwegian football fan.

Amazing close control, uses a measured tackle to create an instant transition, distributes the ball with controlled weighted passes. Several nice 1-2's, I think mostly with McNeil?

Certainly has got the tools to become an influential playmaker, contributing both defensively and offensively.

First time see anything of him.

Reminds me of Scholes in the way he plays.

Keeps it simple, but still is very creative.

Sørloth

Nice to see Norway having some exciting prospects, but their main problem has been over the years a unbalanced team. They really need some quality in midfield and defence to properly start challenging (and qualifying) for the big tournaments.

What's wrong with Sørloth? Not a world class striker by any means, but a pretty decent player for a country like Norway. Seems to be slowly settling into that Leipzig team, and just scored a brace yesterday.
Can't argue with their lack of balance, but they at least have a couple of options in midfield.

Sorloth is quality, very underrated on here I feel.

Proably because he went to Palace very young, and didn't do well, so i guess that's going to stick with him for the rest of his career like Cardiff will stick with Solskjær even if he wins the PL 27 times straight :P

Yeah, there probably an element of truth in that!

could be the next Nicky Butt

He's an OK striker, not more than that imo.

5 goals in 25 games for RB Leipzig isn't exactly amazing.

He may build on that tally because he has time on his side but it's in no way based just on his Palace days, scoring buckets in Turkey just isn't an indicator that is very trustworthy on your capacity on the top European level.

However, I think he and Haaland are a decent set-up for the National Team. Haaland will need to grow to become the leader of that team in due time.

As for Norway's midfield. Yes, Odegaard and Berge are both talents (still think both could/should make at least a step up) but beyond that, there is a reliance on players like Berg, Midtsjø, Elyounoussi that aren't good enough.

Beyond that, the team is bare-bones in defense. So definitely an attack-heavy team with most of the big talent coming through attack-minded.

Will Hansen-Aarøen make it through? I certainly hope so as a United fan but it's early days still and he could also go the way of Møller Daehli or even Wolff Eikrem if we fall too much for the hype.
