He works incredibly hard and has a great engine indeed, but I can't really respect the constant diving and it taints him as a player. It's the same reason I can never warm to Neymar either. Salah is another, great player but an absolute cheat when it comes to trying to win pens and free kicks.Prolific diverlove that phrase.
His stamina is on 99lvl.
It's the fact he can play from the right which is why Saka has no right being in the team
Sterling from the right and then one of the countless other options from the left would have made England a far bigger attacking threat in this tournament

Just admit you hate Sterling and move onSorry for me thats a mixed game. Once again many chances in good positions to play the ball to a teammate to continue a building move, instead he messes up the pass or loses the ball just trying to run it all the time. Missed a sitter too. Kept trying and was in the box to force the OG and won a penalty, which didnt have a lot of contact.
He's the England player who gets all the chances to mess up, then finally gets one right and all is forgiven
Everyone does it and this makes it OK? Even so, the likes of Neymar, Sterling and Salah take it to the next level where they are constantly trying to con the referee and I find this malicious.Everyone does this now, with a few exceptions.
He's a diving cnut.
Always was and Always will be.
The fact he's doing it for England now is clouding your judgment.
Wait till he does it on Old Trafford.

There are no brutes left in the game like pre
90s, defenders can't even get away with the softest of challenges these days.

In answer to the thread title question, it’s either him or Kane. England have a lot of good players but those two are the best. I think this tournament has made that pretty clear.
You can name so many defensive players, but hardly any attacking players because Sterling is literally carrying England's offence at the moment. Without him you probably lose to Germany.I feel like I’m going mental. Performance wise Sterling hasn’t had a good tournament, yet everyone wants him knighted.
Sterling is light years away from his best form of a couple years ago, the last two appearances have been better but still not spectacular - before that he was genuinely our worst player on the pitch in each game.
Shaw, Philip, Maguire, Saka, Rice, Stones have all been far better than Sterling for me.
A couple of years ago he was the best English player. He isn’t now though.

this tournament hasn’t made clear that Kane is one of England’s best players. Far from it.
Kane has done ok. He’s still out best striker, obviously - but nowhere near one of our best players based on Euro2020.
How has Saka been better? Sterling one of the highest rated on whoscored, averages 3 dribbles per game, 85% pass completion, 1.2 tackles per game (similar to Shaw)I feel like I’m going mental. Performance wise Sterling hasn’t had a good tournament, yet everyone wants him knighted.

apparently Saka loses it more........I hate him losing the ball when its easy to make a better choice and find a teammate rather than losing the ball going down a blind alley. I hate it from other players too but for England only one player does this over and over again
If it helps he's a United from LondonBeing from Liverpool and City, hard to like him but he has been head and shoulders Englands best player, with the 2 United boys doing decent.
