Is Jadon Sancho really worth the 100 plus million fee?

I didn't say to buy these 3 players was realistic. But at least, buy one of them (top of his list). I was delighted when we've signed Cavani but let's be honest, he was a panic buy. We still need CB, CDM, RW and next season a ST still. We're wasting money.

Yeah would love to think Joel is willing to back Ole for those three positions this summer but doubt it

I believe we're obviously still interested in Jude, but I don't see why we'd want him yet, or for the money Dortmund would want for him right now. He's in the best place for him right now, and we'll know that.

He's so, so good, I can't say it enough that he's exactly what we need for our RW.

I've watched a lot of him since he moved to Dortmund and he's just as comfortable on the right, than he is the left. His versatility would be a real asset to us and he'd add even more x factor to our squad, which is badly needed.

James shouldn't be at United come the end of the summer and Greenwood should be rotated with Cavani, if he sees the rest of his career as a no.9.

When's his contract over? Think this one might become a free agent instead of the fee Dortmund is asking for.

His style of play would add such a different dimension to our attack particularly against packed defenses....

Dreaming of beautiful touches and interplay between Sancho/Amad/Bruno/Rashford.....

The that impresses me the most is his ability whether on the LW or RW is to stand the defender up and beat him. There's no one like him in our squad.

His signing would also take pressure off Amad having to produce from the get go.

Dortmund will sell him for under €50mil If we manage to convince him to kick up a fuss imo. Considering they’ll miss out on CL football, this shouldn’t be that hard. There is no way a club like Dortmund can afford to let one of their most valuable players enter the last year of his contract especially in the current climate.

I think as a club, we need to be a bit smarter with our money than we have been in the last few years. We can’t just pay whatever the selling club demands. Sadly out of desperation we’ve set a bad precedent in this regard, hopefully that changes this summer.

I think it’s quite feasible to sign him, Kane and a CM for under £200m plus I’m sure we’ll be able to make some of that back from all the deadwood we will be shipping off this summer.

The state of defending in the Bundesliga never ceases to amaze me though. He was basically allowed to walk it in.

Bit annoying that. would prefer Dortmund to miss CL, means they'll lose revenue and be under more pressure to sell.

The counter to that is if Dortmund miss out on CL, Haaland may want to leave and they are less likely to sell both Haaland and Sancho.

The simple fact is we will need to pay up and rightly so.

We wouldn't sell Greenwood for 60 million. Sancho for 80-100 is simply the going price.

If we don't get him we will regret it.

50m? Are you on crack?

I don't understand the desire to overpay from United fans. It means we have less money for the rest of the team. Given like 10 different factors that have already been mentioned plenty of times before, we should be aiming to do a deal at £60-70m.

And fyi I think we would sell Greenwood for £60m. The problem is no one's going to offer that. Likewise if he was playing at Arsenal we wouldn't be offering £60m for him.

Nonsense. Its not a desire to overpay. The fee they want is simply reasonable when factored with his talent etc etc

So when Haaland was playing, Dortmund couldnt muster up a win. Jadon comes back and it looks like he could be taking them into the CL.

The difference he makes for them in the final 3rd is amazing. He is so good...todays goals are exactly what Sancho is all about.

This is what I mean. The games we have struggled in has needed someone to find that final pass. Jadon, for such a young player, often does that. He and Bruno the creators, with Rashy/Mason and Cavani/Martial as the runners, would create a nice balance.

He would be a huge upgrade from Greenwood and would help United to play better.. consistently. #1 signing for me.

This is the most sensible post re Jadon Sancho “price” / “value”.

Would we sell Mason for 60m? Rashford for 100m?

They simply aren’t going to sell Sancho for 50m or 60m.

Two good goals today. Mostly played on the left, but switched with Reyna for 10 min each half and played on the right.

Why do you think so?

Covid revenues
No other big clubs have a need for him, maybe PSG if Mbappe moves
No one else was interested last summer
1 year left on his contract next summer
Dortmund may well finish outside top 4, meaning need for money
13 or so goals in the Bundesliga but wouldnt have scored half of those goals this season in the PL (a lot were way too much space)
Hasn't shown it in the CL or for England
United signed Diallo in his position

He's a good player but £80m+ I guarantee there'll be no interest.
