I would prefer Grealish but he's made himself too expensive now.

Going how Rashford is doing, it won't be a too much of ask for Sancho to replace him on left.
He reminds me alot of Hazard when he was at Chelsea.
I’d kinda convinced myself after the summer window that he wasn’t all that, and we don’t need him and was fine on him never playing for us. Then watched last night and saw glimpses of what he could be. Just the passes alone.
There was one where he beat a couple of men and saw Reus somehow on the opposite side and slipped a ball past a load of players making it awkard and he found Reus. That’s what we need and in all honestly I’d still punt for Grealish and play Grealish left, Bruno central Sancho right, drop Rashford and Martial and say show me you‘re better than these guys.
This is until I at least see Amad again and then again convince myself we don’t need Sancho.

inside forwards only work if you have quality at full back going forward, Maybe Laird will provide that when he is back, Greenwood needs to play ST

So out of 31 appearances on this figure, 14 of them are on the right side, 6 of them are a sub so not sure which position, 7 of them central (#10 likely), with 4 of them on the left.
Anyway point is that he's equally capable on both and we can go back to the Ronaldo days of swapping wings effectively between Rashford and Sancho.

He's not laughably bad going forward that's for sure.
Sancho would help a lot in build up, not just the final 3rd. The guy gets involved deep and moves really well to move the ball up the pitch. So you'd have Shaw on the left with Rashford providing dribbling progression, Bruno centrally advanced (and then Maguire from deep, but yeah the deeper mids still don't do it too well), but with Sancho on the right we would have the quality build up, creativity and progression on the right side so Wan Bissaka is just asked to support (which he is fine with), rather than run the wing and be key for progression up the pitch which he can't do.
To answer the title: Yes, he's well worth the fee.

Rashford has only shown glimpses of greatness, but I think it’s dawning on us that he’s not going to be the worldclass winger we expected. We shouldn’t be sacrificing stellar choices like Grealish and Sancho for him.
Being dominant domestically does not class you as world class levels otherwise Jamie Vardy has had world class seasons. He has established himself as one of the best attackers in Germany for sure and worth a punt from us. World Class means you are on of the elite players in Europe at that moment in time.
Im not denying it. I’ve seen the line up stats too. I’m just saying with my eyes I’ve always seen him on the left. Most recently the game yesterday; Barcelona last season when he came off the bench and most recently Mochingladback (however you spell the teams name). Haven’t seen him doing anything of any substance from the right. Also taking into account his City youth team highlights on the left. So I just have to wonder what exactly does he give from the right.
£100m and we’ll still be saying we need a RW.

By all accounts it seems like he was more than happy to join us. Dortmund put a price tag on him that we, or anyone, could not meet. Hardly his fault and hardly a reason to reject him now he's available at a much more reasonable price.
Sancho would be ideal for us.

Yes "feck him" it's not like he wanted to come, was willing to come, then spent the first part of the season sulking because he wasn't playing for us. "feck him" indeed.

Not really his fault. We didn't feel he was worth the fee, something I still agree with, that's not Sancho's fault. Not kicking up a stinker to force a move is a good show of his character, don't think any of us want a player who's indicated he's willing to sulk if he doesn't get his own way.
If he is available for £60-70m, would be awesome to sign him. Between Rashford, Amad and Sancho, we would have enough firepower outwide for the foreseeable future. Hopefully, one of Elanga, James or Pellestri can make the step up to make it a quartet.

He won't be 60-70. He's still one of the most exciting talents in the world.
Haaland, Mbappe, Sancho will all 3 belong to the best players in the world soon. I think if he can be bought for 100 it should still be done
Sancho will go for around 75m. I just hope its to us, I'd still say we're comfortably the most likely destination.

In a few months revenue's will go back to normal. I see no reason why player values should suddenly be halved.
Clubs might be low on cash but the value of Sancho is dependent on what he brings potentially for the next 10-12 years
How many transfers have been successful for over 100m? Only Mbappe(who`s an exception) and to an extent Neymar the rest have been HUGE flops. And as talented as he is he`ll be coming from the same league that made Werner and Havertz(and Kagawa and Mkhi) look like world beaters.
As talented and young as Sancho is it makes no sense to sign him at any fee or at any cost looking at the circumstances or there`s a big chance he ends up like Coutinho/Dembele/Griezmann especially if its found out he`ll need time to settle. He`s more likely to be a success if he comes at 70-80m max than over 100m or all the pressure will be on him and he`ll always have a target on his back like Maguire
I disagree. I think the prices for top players before the pandemic were not normal. Should not be viewed as normal and in fact, rarely work out.
There is every chance Sancho comes here and doesn't deliver half of what he does in Germany.
Look at Coutinho, Pogba, Dembele, Hazard.
The prices for those players were obscene, out of proportion with what they can deliver and should never be encouraged to return.

I think this whole getting Rashford equally comfortable on both flanks thing will pay off when fitting Sancho (or someone else like him) into the side. Sancho can play both wings. If Rashford can do that as well, it gives us some options going forward. I think Amad will be expected to play both LW / RW as well.

Upping his stats but like today's goal the defending is very sloppy against the opposition in Bundesliga. I think his true output goals wise in the PL would be half of what it is, combined with him looking better on the left still makes me question a big price for him.
