Is Jadon Sancho really worth the 100 plus million fee?

We have to be quick about this one. With Chelsea winning tonight they could be looking for a marquee signing….

If Haaland stays put this window and United secures Sancho, do they have a strong enough relationship that United might be out front for Haaland in 2022?

I'm dreading a Hazard like situation where Chelsea win the CL and they get the all star winger ahead of us that summer...

It doesn’t matter, Haaland has a release clause that kicks in next summer. He can basically take his pick. It will be who is willing to pay his agent and father the most money.

So if we did get Sancho what do you think would be acceptable stats for his first season in the Premier League?
If his addition to the squad makes others around him better and us as a whole better I don’t really care how many assists and goals he’ll get.

AND who guarantees him to play for every title there is. Someone like Haaland won't go just for the money, he does want to win things (Mostly that are the same teams, but a shit team just won't be able to splash everything they have on him, he won't come for that).

So no bid, nothing so far. Is there any progress or we are just waiting for Chelsea to sign him?

Doubt we'll get Haaland but glad that by just about all accounts, Sancho's our main target.

Just need Murtough and co to finally get it over the line now

Think that is fair enough. Asking the club to go after Kane is a fool's errand.

I think that goes without saying, all the clubs that would be in for him will be challenging in whichever league.

Spurs really are in a bad situation - Kane is by far the most important player for any club in the P.L - and even if they get £120 million for him - he can't be replaced. But at the same time - how long can they keep him ? At one stage he will get tired, motivation will drop 10% and he will score 6-7-8 goals less and his value will drop.

Sancho is equally as effective on the left, so whoever's not performing out of Rashford and Greenwood will be dropped. We also have Amad who looks to be a really intelligent player.

Yesterday, Chelsea brought Werner off and put Pulisic. They also had Ziyech and CHO on the bench.

We need the strength in depth!

I know we all know Ole should have made the changes but it is going to be so much easier with a player like Sancho, even a fit Martial and an Amad that has actually played a bit. I don't want it to be a case of 'it's our year, next year' but we should be in a much better position, though I still don't think it will be enough. Chelsea spent 240mil last summer on first teamers and got Thiago for free.

Although we’re never close to signing anyone yet, we normally know what the “saga” is going to be by June 1st

Still no reliable links that we’re in for Sancho in 2021 yet.

I wonder when this will get that big link that starts the saga

Give it a couple of weeks and the "Ole has been impressed by Greenwood's development and doesn't now want to stall it", as the Sancho interest has died.

Eh? What do you count as reliable then?
Exactly. The last 2 years there has been hardly anything reliable we will get linked to every player in Europe throughout the Summer with 99% of it being bollocks from everyone.

Nothing from BBC, Athletic, Ducker, Mitten etc other than that we may resume interest. Nothing bold yet to say he’s a genuine target we’re trying to sign in Summer 2021

You might want to revisit the news. Mitten has name dropped Sancho multiple times, for example.

I can’t recall him explicitly saying we’re after him this summer. More just “monitoring” along with several other names

Hes said we have 70-75m GBP aside for a marquee signing which is likely to be a Jadon Sancho. This was months ago on the talk of the devil's podcast.

You won't get more obvious than that.

Loads of the more "respected" journos have spoken about this transfer and our obvious interest in doing the deal this summer, seems a bit strange to pretend otherwise.
