We've had 4 Ballon D'or winners in our club's history. He's one of them. It's pretty clear he's a club legend.
I think people get legend and "cult hero" mixed up at times.
 
It’s a bit of a cringe term but you’ve got to bleed red to be considered a legend. Guys like Keane, Rooney and Giggs were, for want of a better phrase, proper United men. Just don’t get that from Ronaldo.

But Cristiano didn't retract his words which were that agrees with Blatter's statement that him not being allowed to leave is modern slavery. Why is that?

You keep repeating yourself and keep engaging in mental gymnastics, while the rest are merely using Ronaldo's own words.

It's you who's choosing to mispresent Ronaldo's stance and who has chosen to go with whatever interpretation you see fit? Us? We merely go with his statement.

I wouldn’t have much of an issue with anybody saying no to both Rooney and Giggs of those you’ve listed to be honest, albeit the last wasn’t anything to do with football or anything to do with the club.

I’m sure many wouldn’t take issue with somebody saying the same about Keane with how he left too.

If he keeps up his protracted awol motion, and continues to take the trouble-maker mantle that Paul Pogba left behind, then I'm afraid he'll be thought of in the same breath as the aforementioned Paul Pogba, at least to me he will.

He'll do well to get back with the squad ASAP..

Or perhaps legend means different things to different people. For me it's more than being just about their ability to play football

Giggs and the words proper man probably shouldn’t be in the same sentence but I get your point.

Funnily enough when Rooney played for us many of our fans didn’t rate his United credentials either…

Well that was until he left and turns out he was right about the club not having ambition.

Ronaldo will be remembered longer than Ryan Giggs arguably for putting on the Red shirt. 100 years from now his name will still be linked to our club so he’s definitely a United legend. More so in the future.

Giggs is a terrible human being off the pitch but he's a greater United legend than Ronaldo will ever be. Ronnie is the better player yes, but he wanted out since the winking incident. Giggs is our record appearance holder and has been a part of all Fergies title winning teams.

He is not our legend. One of the best players ever who played with us? Yes, of course.

As a United player? He had that interview with MUTV which didnt air and that was him gone.. And even then , it was about a few players.. not the club or the manager.
 
People getting too emotional over his recent issues with Ten Hag. Absolutely a legend the moment he decided to come back to this trainwreck situation. That could have only been loyalty as there were a bunch of other clubs that would have taken him on market value alone.
 
Still think he is. You can't take away his achievements with us. But definitely not on favorite list.

Like not begging to leave the club twice, having the decency to stay through games
If you aren’t involved, not doing interviews about not respecting managers.

The 2nd best player I’ve ever seen but not a United legend after this nonsense.
