Is anyone else getting worried?

I felt before the summer we needed a creative player with pace. Happy with the signings but really, really hoping we get that type of player in. I don't know who though and it seems like this summer is not really ideal for signing certain types of player (striker as well, for example).

I think he's experimenting with the other two.

Why can't he experiment with Smalling then? Start one game with Smalling and Blind. Rather than starting both games with Jones and Blind.

I have to admit, I am.

Our starting 11 isn't as strong as the other sides in the top 4. Rooneys quality is debatable nowadays, we lack top quality options out wide, and our central defense is a bombscare.

If anyone's read Fever Pitch, there's a point in the book where Hornby writes that he stops worrying so much about football and letting it consume most of his energy (which is not to say that it becomes less important to him). In his case, it was when Arsenal finally won the league. I'm getting a similar feeling, at probably a similar age, but for different reasons - in this case, the past few seasons have been so devoid of anything resembling good football from us, and questioning and scratching our heads over selections and transfers has been such an energy-sapping exercise, that I honestly can't summon up the energy to "worry" about this sort of stuff anymore. I still think about it, and I still care intimately about how the club does, and there's very little chance I'll ever get to the point of not watching us. But more and more, when it comes to things like selections and transfers, the feeling I'm getting is "qué será, será".
