I hope amad and Bruno play behind Højlund. Garnacho on the left side as he should be able to attack a lot against these.
Did not expect anyone to take it seriously17 mill in compo every month?
Nah.
I wasntDid not expect anyone to take it seriously
British media will be far worse than anything on TwitterFully expecting an Ipswich win & Yoro to play & have a 'mare & the internet exploding with a zillion Africans taking to Twitter to say how awful Yoro is & that Ruben is a worse manager than ETH.
Not if we get them to sign one month contracts. Zero hour coaches, Jim would love it.17 mill in compo every month?
Nah.
The wingbacks are there to hold the width. Garnacho would be terrible there.First real test? Dont care about the result, want to see some intensity and patterns in play. Its a bit too early but these are professional footballers (i think).
I am curious who plays LWB, Garnacho seems everyones choice but I think he could surprise us with Rashford or go with a left footed option in Anthony.
Would be wildly optimistic to think Shaw is backOnana
De Ligt Maguire Martinez
Mazraoui Casemiro ugarte Shaw
Bruno Amad
Rashford
Assuming everyone is fit after the break
After 2 training sessions I doubt we see much to be fair. Even in some games with ETH we seen a few decent patterns of play. Our trouble is giving an identity and being consistent in itFirst real test? Dont care about the result, want to see some intensity and patterns in play. Probably because he’s been out all season and he shouldn’t be rushed back. The physicality of the PL could see him struggle if he’s not up to speed with the league. Why is everyone assuming that Yoro won't play. He is fit and been training with the first team. he isideal for a back 3
Not fair to Africa. There are some serious supporters there.Fully expecting an Ipswich win & Yoro to play & have a 'mare & the internet exploding with a zillion Africans taking to Twitter to say how awful Yoro is & that Ruben is a worse manager than ETH.
I agree. Hojlund and Zirksee have been poor this year. I think with the other 3, you get pace, quick passing, goals, fluid attacking patterns etcI would be tempted to stick Bruno upfront as a false nine and flank him with Garnacho and Amad with very attacking wingbacks. They have been our biggest attacking threat this season.
1-1 Damn squid
Thats a disaster of a lineup. All defensive with no pace at all. What you expecting the mf to just lump the ball ahead to Hojlund and he scroes on his own?? Amad/Garnacho/Rashford, 2 of the 3 have to be startingIf I am right, Amorim started with full back as wing backs when he came at Sporting, and then changed this to former winger at the position.
So I supposed that it will be a back 5 potentially, but the most interesting will be who will play alognside Bruno.

I'd like to see Hojlund start, but I think it would be a 'bigger thing' (certainly reported that way!) if Rashford's left out of Amorim's first starting line up. So think he'll probably get the nod rather than start off straight away with a big Amorim / Rashford media circus.
I've come to almost enjoy the respite of an international break over recent years - often a much needed break from the PL and our mostly frustrating performances.
However this break comes at a bad time - with the momentum of recent results, and the imminent arrival of Amorim, I'm really looking forward to this game. Obviously it'll be very early days for Amorim and not expecting anywhere near the level that I'm hoping he'll get us performing at over time. But still eager to see the Ruben reign begin.
Oh ffs.Anthony Taylor is our ref this weekend, lets hope he has a quiet one
Referee: Anthony Taylor.
Assistants: Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn.
Fourth official: Matt Donohue.
VAR: Jarred Gillett.
Assistant VAR: Neil Davies.
There was a Sporting fan on here in the days after he was announced who said Amorim spent the early days there focusing on the defence setup and shape, playing more conservative fullbacks in the wide positions until things had bedded in and he could be a bit more adventurous. I'd expect to see the same here, particularly with so little time to train.
Yea the team was definitely built from the back up. In our 1st title wining season the core of our CB's were pretty slow and old (Coates, Neto, Feddal) so we were forced to play with our defense line alot lower than what Amorim wanted.
We were very solid (best defense in the league 20 goals) but attacking wise it was dire with the lack of options we had (67). We won the league by hard teamwork more than actual quality, lost count of how many games we won at "fergie time". We didnt have anyone else good enough so if werent wining at the end it was always sending Coates to striker position... ( 5 league goals).
And we played with fullback but they werent conservative, since we had Pedro Porro and Nuno Mendes... that's the jackpot. Dont think we ever had as good options as those 2 at the same time.
Eventually they got sold and Amorim had to adapt (wingers), players of that quality arent easy to come by with a lower budget.

No you don't. No more than I absolutely know we are going to win it 3-0.I absolutely know we are losing this match 2-1
That's absolutely dreadful4W-4D-8L in our last 16 with him as ref.
I like it. Bit aggressive but if we cant be aggressive against Ipswich then we're fecked.I'm confident.
One of the league's easier opponents on paper, and they just got their 'turning it around against a top side' win out of the way against Spurs.
We put together a confidence-boosting run of form under Ruud. Three wins, plus a draw against a resurgent Chelsea. 11 scored vs 3 conceded.
Hoping for:
OnanaIf Yoro's match-fit he should come on for Evans for half an hour or so.
DeLigt Evans Martinez
Mazraoui Casemiro Ugarte Garnacho
Amad Bruno
