Internationals September (World Cup Qualifiers)

Both Saka and Bellingham have looked good. Lingard looks lively. Decent tempo to the game and England deservedly lead.

All this „Greenwood should focus on his club for now - us, him, his club and his family are all aligned regarding this, blah blah” is getting overused and boring by now. I mean being young and focusing on your club didn’t stop Saka and Bellingham getting call-ups after all.
I believe Southgate just does not see him playing for England, and if he travels with England but then does not get any minutes at all, such a high profile player will get a lot of headlines if he doesn’t play.
That’s why they will keep using the same old explanation for him being left out for as long as possible.
Greenwood will never play upfront as long as Kane plays there and I honestly believe Southgate would rather play Lingard on the wings than Greenwood (and Sterling, Rashford, Sancho, Grealish, Foden, Saka are ahead of him anyway in Southgate’s mind at least).
I really don’t see a chance for Greenwood at least as long as Southgate is manager.

James has now switched to CM and TAA at RB.

James looks to be playing as the CDM, whereas TAA was at RCM in the first half.

You realise he’s played well in other games as well? He’s really just an exceptional prospect.

I Said he was talented and I know he has had good games but if he was playing against France, Italy or anyone even half decent etc he wouldn't be getting this space or time. You think kante for example would allow him to just do flicks and dragbacks in midfield.

He is very talented of course but People need to calm down with Bellingham its Andorra ffs.

He wouldn't be getting this time and space against any other team or players.

Yeah people base their opinions on Bellingham only on the game vs Andorra?

Nothing wrong with calling out a good prospect when he's playing against a weak side.

Yes because people are clearly only basing their opinions on this one game. He's a future star, it's obvious.

People aren't. He's played well for England a few times now. Weird that people are pretending it's a knee jerk opinion.

Genuine question.

Why is Saka rated as a starter for Southgate? I honestly don't get it. He's a decent prospect, but hardly anything exceptional and he's simply not a goal threat. It's too early for him to be a national team player.

He's not rated as a starter. His form just had him starting quite a bit in the Euros. Regardless, it's not too early for him to be an England international.

Agreed, yet Southgate called upon Saka to take the fifth pk in a Euro final, with predictable result.

He's scored 10 goals for Arsenal in 100+ apps and doesn't have a reliable end product. It's too early for him. He does a few dribbles that makes him look dangerous but really isn't very effective. Don't see it personally.
