Injury Crisis 2023/24 | Martínez and Casemiro back in training

What’s the next word up from crisis?
 
I remember when Liverpool had a so called crisis when they lost 2 defenders and had to play CMs at CB.
This is a whole other level
 
The cherry on the top of this injury crisis is the inevitable Casemiro soft red.
 
That new doctor has got his work cut, bet hes wished he never left Arsenal

How long is Mount out for?
Martinez? Maguire?

People want to convince themselves it's just bad luck when it's clearly an issue with our training and fitness. We didn't prepare well for this season at all and the fitness of the team has been pretty awful ever since the season started.
 
Something must be up with training. This is just bizarre
 
What's actually wrong with Malacia? I keep forgetting he even plays for us having not seem him at all this season.

Not just this season, he has been reported injured since before summer started. And no one knows why or when he is returning. It's bizarre.

ETH said he was ill before the match, but was determined to play tonight.
He gave him high praise for his fighting spirit and commitment.

Am I right in thinking that apart from Hojlund, every single left footed player in the first team squad is now injured or unavailable?
 
Amrabat and Varane are back.

Mount, Martinez and Mainoo should be back for next weeks game.
 
If anyone's going to the game next weekend it's probably worth bringing your boots with you

You mean when they had to try about 25 combos of centre back, at one point having to combine a teenager who'd been on loan in non league the season before and a mid 29s journeyman who was probably L1 standard?

We've had a couple of silly defensive Injury sets in the past, remember playing Fletcher and Carrick there away at Fulham. But the current is the silliest yet.

He might well have been ill, but he clearly tightened up hamstring wise and had to come off very soon after.

If he's not going to he out that's a huge let off.
Surprised we didn't put Lindelof right and Dalot left when it happened.

Martinez has become a bit of a sicknote. And then he's got a salary bump as well. Maybe it's a psychological thing after his big injury where he is just cautious, but it's worrying.
 
I think Martinez hasn’t fully recovered from the knock he got on his foot a few weeks ago. He could probably play through the pain in an emergency!

Mainoo, Mount and Amrabat are close to returning!

I really like the look of Amass in the U18’s (left back) maybe he’ll get the call to provide cover?
