Are you Pawar, are you Pawar, are you Pawar in disguise?
They have denied it on several occasions now and I've already presented these reports in previous posts.
Have you? I haven't seen one yet that plainly states that he didn't say the word "monkey". I may have missed them of course. The closest I have seen was Kumble (I think) who said that he believed that the player claims the words wasn't said. And if it wasn't said why did Kumble approach Ponting to try to "sort it out privately".
Even if they are now cliaming that the word wasn't said why has it taken so many days of equivocation? The obvious inference is that the word was said and the player is claiming it to be just another insult.
I wonder what was said by both sides in the hearing?

Ands where did you hear that? Harbhajan has always denied having said it.Why is that a key word? It is his job to adjudicate on the matter. Short of video footage with the insult audible AND a statement from the player admitting he meant it as a racist insult, a degree of judgement is required. If you demand a higher degree of proof you might as well remove referees from football games as well.
I repeat, Harbhajan has always denied having said it and so has the rest of the squad and BCCI. More importantly, Tendulkar, who was on the pitch when the arguement took place, has also said Harbhajan didnt say it.The fact that they haven't come right out and said that he didn't say it, just that there is no proof hints that they are not actually denying the word was uttered just that it wasn't racists. Despite being aimed at the only black man on the field and despite the huge publicity that resulted from the disgraceful targeting of Symond with racist chants and signs on the last tour of India. To suggest that the offensive nature of such a comments wasn't know is ludicrous.
mehro I looked at a couple of the articles
all they seem to say is 'I didn't say anything racist' not 'I didn't call him a monkey'

saying monkey = being racist
therefore, didnt say anything racist = didnt say monkey

Read what I said again.

Convicts.
No, Indian camp has always denied it.I haven't seen any quote that denies it being said. I have seen lots of quotes saying that he denies saying anything racist. The suggestion from the very carefully worded denials is that it was said but not meant in a racist way. Which is a bit comical.
Get to feck you, the convicts in the early 1800’s still had it better than most if the current-day Indian population do today, you and your Indian mates will have to start realizing this scenario was created by your cricketers, the whining little soft cnuts who threatened to walk away from the tour when their racist remarks were met with retaliation.
Go make my mam a fecking chicken korma.

And whether you believe it or not, it is not a racist remark in India. Even Steve Waugh has come it and said so. May be even he is covering up for racists as well, eh?
tendulkar was probably also on the other side of the pitch
not sure where the rest of the aussies that gave evidence were situated
but it would makes sense if singh was on strike as ponting/clarke/hayden/gilchrist would all be on that end of the pitch.
Tendulkar isn't exactly a player sporting a clean record

I remember this and being quite shocked about it.
not quite when alot of the indian fans on forums/discussion boards and the indian officials say 'monkey isn't a racist or derogatory remark in india'
Because it isn't.
That's racist. I thought you were english anyway?Get to feck you, the convicts in the early 1800’s still had it better than most if the current-day Indian population do today, you and your Indian mates will have to start realizing this scenario was created by your cricketers, the whining little soft cnuts who threatened to walk away from the tour when their racist remarks were met with retaliation.

"There was once a Indian and an Pakistani who lived next door to each other. The Indian owned a hen and each morning would look in his garden and pick up one of his hen's eggs for breakfast.
One day he looked into his garden and saw that the hen had laid an egg in the Pakistani's garden. He was about to go next door when he saw the Pakistani pick up the egg. The Indian ran up to the Pakistani and told him that the egg belonged to him because he owned the hen. The Pakistani disagreed because the egg was laid on his property.
They argued for a while until finally the Indian said, "In my family we normally solve disputes by the following actions: I kick you in the balls and time how long it takes you to get back up, then you kick me in the balls and time how long it takes for me to get up, who ever gets up quicker wins the egg."
The Pakistani agreed to this and so the Indian found his heaviest pair of boots and put them on, he took a few steps back, then ran toward the Pakistani and kicked as hard as he could in the balls. The Pakistani fell to the floor clutching his nuts howling in agony for 30 minutes.
Eventually the Pakistani stood up and said, "Now it's my turn to kick you."
The Indian said, "Keep the damn egg!"
That's racist. I thought you were english anyway?
The Aussies have some nerve to complain about anyone saying anything at all to them on a cricket pitch
The Indians and Pakistanis can't take criticism or censure of any kind without going completely menstrual
IMHO, they're all bandars
India have withdrawn their threat to quit the tour of Australia if an appeal against Harbhajan Singh's ban fails.
The spinner was suspended for three games for allegedly making a racist comment to Australian Andrew Symonds in the second Test in Sydney.
Harbhajan has denied making the comment and the appeal is due to take place before the third Test on 16 January.
"There's no question of it being called off," India cricket board president Sharad Pawar was quoted as saying.
BCCI board spokesman Rajiv Shukla quoted Pawar and said: "He (Pawar) said the two boards intend to maintain good relations as there is no problem with the two."
They should have. I have a good feeling they are going to get humiliated by the Aussies.
