India vs South Africa

All three centuries were perfect and as important in getting to this mammoth total. Fun chase at least I hope.

Can't see it. The pressure to hit from the go results in huge losses more often than not.

The crowd have been absolutely fantastic to SA batsmen and AB in particular. Never before an opposition player had his name chanted with such fervor. I have been to quite a few games of Cricket and almost always went for normal stands and standing near the grill where you get to hear common Indian people's 'expert analysis' which is hilarious to say the least. The amount of stick which is given to opposition fielders fielding on boundary is unbelievable. I remember Stuart Williams of WI was proper riled up in 1994 in a test in Nagpur by crowd around me when he was fielding near boundary. The same crowd riled up Harbhajan Singh as well a match few years later :D

Amla is a great batsmen but AB is an all time legend.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe AB is better than Amla.
 There is no doubt about that. Even in test AB is as good as Amla if not better. Him batting for 220 balls scoring just 33 runs vs Australia to save Adelaide test in 2012 was fantastic display of grit. His technique otherwise is too good as well for normal test cricket.

 I dont think there is anyone in the modern game even close to AB.

Probably controversial but theres definitely players I'd rather have than him in tests. Also bats too low in t20s imo.

What a fecking shit stuff by Bhuvi.

That's not controversial at all.

AB is in the top 3 of ODI batsmen of all time. Richards, Sachin and AB.

And as an all-round batsman, I would say AB is #1. SAchin didn't play T20 at his peak.

In tests, therea re plenty of batsmen as good as him.

feck off. feck right off.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar gets to his hundred as well! feckin Get IN!!

You think he's better than Ponting? I think Ponting would've been just as if not more destructive if he played in this era.

AB is better than Ponting imo and I was big Ponting fan. AB is just another level when it comes to ODI.

I hated Ponting but he was doing this kinda stuff in 2003. Nobody had even imagined a team scoring 400 before Ponting destroyed that South Africa attack in 2006 in that WR game.

Gibbs did go one better in that same very game, so wont put too much stock into it.

if ab continues this form for the next 3-4 years then he could break every record.

Just looked at De Villiers ODI record, 8400 runs or so at more than a run a ball averaging 54, bloody hell.
