India vs South Africa

Not content with murdering muslims for daring to eat beef, Hindu terrorists Shiv Sena have now forced the ICC to cave in and withdraw Aleem Dar from the remainder of the India v RSA tour.

After Shiv Sena threat, ICC withdraws umpire Aleem Dar from India-South Africa series

The International Cricket Council (ICC) withdrew umpire Aleem Dar from the remaining matches in the ongoing India versus South Africa series. The ICC made the decision following Monday's incident in Mumbai where Shiv Sena activists stormed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters and threatened to prevent the umpire from standing in the fifth ODI on Sunday.

 You didnt need to bold it and change the font to that size you know.

Am surprised the indian government is letting shiv sena get away with all of this, although disappointed might be a better word knowing modi's history.

I did a copy and paste job - I blame the Times of India lol

Jokes aside - it's not the end of the world, but the ICC and BCCI should have shown some balls. I'd understand if it was the Pakistani team and the security required would be mental, so better safe than sorry.

But 1 umpire - surely, this sets a really bad precedent. I know it's India, so the rules aren't the same...but what's to stop some country from now using crap like this to prevent certain umpires from officiating against them?

Gather a couple of hundred retards, have them scream and shout - ICC folds.

Bit shit from the ICC there tbh. There shouldn't be games in Mumbai until the situation eases.

You can't say every nation is welcome to come and play, except for one and their umpires and freely allow cricket to be played there. It's prejudice and shouldn't be allowed.

The ICC is basically BCCI now so dont really expect them to do anything about the situation if the BCCI/Indian government themselves wont bother. Personally think that the game should have been moved out of mumbai/india if they cant provide security to the visiting teams/umpire but too much money in the game so the racism will continue.

Final match of ODI series today. Well poised at 2-2.

SA 44-1 after 5 overs. Amla throwing it away on last ball of 4th over after having already hit 3 fours in the over. In the process Amla also reached 6000 ODI runs, fastest to reach there. In 30 less innings than Virat. Amla is fastest to all landmarks of 1000s in ODI from 2000 to 6000. For 7000 as well it should be him comfortably. Among all the headlines AB and Virat make in ODI, Amla has gone about his business without much fuss.

Edit: Correction. Amla needed 13 less innings than Virat, not 30.

Out of 8 hundreds scored by de Kock in ODIs, 5 are against India. Averages ~40 otherwise, ~80 vs India. Such a charitable lot we are, we make careers of many opposition players

It's really set up for AB to take this score to the next level. Anything below 360 will be a failure IMO.

Someone yesterday asking why we don't see 400s anymore. Might be on if these two bat for another 7-8 overs.

With 5 fielders outside ring in last 10 overs nowadays, '100 in last 10' is not so easy. For AB it is still though. Who needs boundaries when Mr. 360 can hit sixes wherever he wants in whatever style he wants.

AB turning it on now. While an amazing player, I would still rather have Amla in my team. Lucky we have both.

ffs this is carnage now. A cramped up guy hitting sixes for fun. Braindead bowling as usual from India.

 he is going to have to go off - this isn't fair. It's also why I hate this overrate rule. This isn't Dhoni's fault yet he will suffer from it.

42.5
Patel to du Plessis, SIX, another huuge six and Faf has crumpled in a heap in the crease! Dhoni is immediately there to try and help him stretch. This was a slog sweep, which meant his right leg was being put through the ringer. Soon after the connection he doesn't even get to admire it as he topples over on his backside

"It's unusually dark for 4.40pm in Mumbai," says Rachna from the ground. And a few feedbackers have been warning us of rain in areas about an hour or so from the ground.

42.4
Patel to du Plessis, SIX, eeish! He is tonking the ball around with great authority. But in the immediate aftermath, the cramp sets in. Seems it is his right leg. Shimmied down the pitch and clatters the flat, length ball out his sight. Out comes the physio in the time it takes for the groundstaff to get the ball back

42.3
Patel to de Villiers, 1 run, flat and outside off, slapped to deep cover

Dhoni moving his fielders around... trying to get the faster men on the boundary

42.2
Patel to du Plessis, 1 run, drives through cover and jogs the single

42.1
Patel to du Plessis, SIX, thumped it! But Faf's cramps have set in quite acutely. He had jumped down the pitch to get to the pitch and launch it down the ground. But almost immediately he feels the pain and nearly crumples in the crease

This sounds fecking hilarious.

South Africa will end up 420 and an exciting run chase you'd hope.

No, I think this kind of stoppages are excluded to calculate time taken to bowl when it exceeds 3.5 hours.

think ab is probably the best sportsman in the world across all sports.

Abraham Benjamin fookin de Villiers!! Whaddaa playaaa...

Are you serious? AB is untouchable in the 50 and 20 over game.

Bowling Mishra to AB is like parading a flock of lambs in front of an unrestrained and hungry tiger.

So much for Dhoni predicting the last 10 over will produce about 70 runs with the new rule changes.

Bloody shame I have to miss this being on the train. Nothing better in cricket than AB in full flow
