India vs S Africa

I think any bowler can slow bowler can do that with a little bit of practise. He runs in and bowls 30 overs outside leg stump. It's just that no one else plans to do negative stuff like that.

He was bowling there on his captain's instruction. Harris has been unlucky this innings. Should've had 4 wickets by now. Induced the outside edge on 4 occasions now coming round the wicket to the right handed batsmen. Not so negative, is it? Do you say the same when Murali does it?

This is looking good. A lead of 200 on a pitch which is now taking some spin should more or less ensure a victory barring any catastrophes or weather vagaries.

Yeah, it would take a nothing short of a miracle for SA to save this test match.

7 wickets down and about 40 overs to go. Should get done. Amla's the only real obstacle. He's been in sublime form...looks like he's batting on a different wicket to the rest of the team.

Yeah, pretty much over I say. I just hope Amla gets a ton. He deserves it. That would make him Man of the Series for sure. 3 Hundreds including a double is pretty special.

Ironic that the thorn in the side for us these 2 tests has been another Asian;Amla.

With him there it's looking like they'll save their arses

Get the feck in!!

Brilliant effort from Hashim and the tail. 3 balls to go only...

Now for India to come to SA and get a hiding.

:nono: feck off. You didn't win your home series.

I would like to see you win a match with most of your middle order out injured and without your best bowler for the last day.

Disgrace that there are only two tests here.

Absolutely. BCCI are a big joke, this test series wasn't even scheduled at first, only some pressure by media and the players made this series happen.

Cracking series and big credit to the Proteas and especially to Amla who was awesome

Thats great, want a cookie? I said that to crappyperson for his uncalled for 'feck off sa' remark.

Fair enough but i guess crappyperson said that in high emotions.

What a bloody game...

Jumped when Baji got that last wicket.. Full credit to S.A and Amla for making it one hell of a game..

Amla batted for 20 hours in this series, and averaged 450+ not to mention played over 1000 deliveries..

But what an ending....

Still no.1! :D

:lol::lol:

Man of the series : Hashim Amla. Bloody hell, he's made rapid strides since the last time he visited India hasn't he?. He's got kinks in his armor thats for sure, but he hides them so effectively and well.

Lighten up. I was sat here in the office pressing F5 for last 10 overs for one wicket taking delivery. Could not even jump up and shout.

Credit to Bhajji, Mishra and Sharma who bowled well today. Absolutely loved Bhajji's celebration in the end . Don't forget the contribution of Sehwag who set the match for us

Congratulations to India. Cracking series. Credit for standing up after losing the first game. Never easy to do that.

We had some disappointments. Duminy, Prince and Smith never contributed. Hopefully they find form soon enough. Very happy for Alviro Petersen. I like him a lot and have been shouting for him to get in the side.

Hashim Amla, what can I say? Fantastic batting from him. What made it even more significant was that Mickey Arthur wanted to drop Amla from the squad for no reason whatsoever. That is why Mickey resigned in the end because he couldn't agree with the board and the selectors. Well done to Amla. Best way to answer your critics.

He has surprised me, thought that he was a good batsman and nothing more. But the way he batted today(and in the series) was outstanding, South Africa's middle order was very suspect though. Duminy and AB De Villiers were below average.

 I was exited by the prospect of getting there with a few balls to go. So you could imagine the disappointment I had and then your chirp :(

Yes, Amla had this stigma before this series of getting starts and 50s but not following on to big scores. Finally he came good. I think it is a massive stride in the right direction for him.

Smith, Prince, Duminy and De Villiers were dissapointing. Never showed up. I know they can do it but Prince and Duminy are seriously lacking confidence at the moment. Both had a horrid time vs the English. I hope the selectors stick with them because we know they are capable.

Amla, bloody hell. Someone was going on about Indian pitches being made for draws the last time Sri Lanka were here. I hope he watched this series.

Depends on one's definition..

His grandparents are apparently from Surat, Gujrat..so.

Yes they are but his parents were born and bred in South Africa, so was he. I'm willing to wager you a fiver that if you ask Hashim Amla what nationality he is from, he will answer "Im proudly South African" :p
