India vs Australia - Limited over series

Circinfo: "Sran to Bailey, no run, an appeal for caught behind, not given. Short and down the leg side, Bailey seeks to glance it away. Replays show that Bailey had gloved that. That could have been three in two overs for the left-arm pacer. Umpire Kettleborough wasn't interested"

DRS would have got the right outcome though.
If only there was a system to review bad calls in cricket.

the least umpires can do is get the LBWs and Caught behinds right. Most Run Outs, Stumping No Balls and Questionable catches are referred to the TV Umpire. DRS should be implemented but the umpires may as well be removed from the game

Its why its there to overturn the bad calls or if you are Shane Watson waste them because you are a twat who hates his captain.

He's called Twatto for a reason.

Maybe I was a bit too bullish about Australia winning. Still think they'll chase this total down now.

This is pathetic captaincy and this is almost the easiest rotating of strike i have ever witnessed in a cricket match.

Doesn't look good does it. Australia pretty much strolling through.

For a player with 7 scores of 130+ Rohit has a pretty ordinary ODI average.

He played in the middle order for a long time where he was hit or miss for a long time. Its only when he started opening the innings that his batting has picked up. His average while opening the innings would be close to 50.

But yeah he is not someone who will perform in 4 out of 5 matches in a series. I always thought him as a person who would make one big score in a series and keep his place secured in the team, there is no consistency in him. But boy those big scores are

How can anyone not love this man.

Booooo umpire. Would've been a far better match had he got that decision right.

Otherwise another flat wicket at Perth. Used to be a tough pitch for batsmen, still remember Sachin's 114 way back in the 90s, was such a great innings. Of late they've reduced this to a really shite pitch.

Smith, got to laugh. By christ he's a gun though. Never in a million years would I have imagined that he would become the player he is.

They are moving to a new perth stadium so get used to crap perth ptiches

What India might have given for another 20 runs or so. Easy to say in hindsight, mind you. If India accepted DRS, Bailey out for a duck and who knows what might have happened. Getting the right decision surely counts.

as far as i'm concerned they deserve to lose every match by a dodgy decision until they use drs. it's the future/past now.

Overall India's bowling is bang average for limited overs matches, wherever they might be playing (the pitches for limited overs are batting friendly everywhere nowadays). You can't even be sure that they will defend 350.

Yeah let's blame the umpire for making a human error in real time (0.5 seconds) and not the board that doesn't want the technology that eradicates the wrong on-field calls.

4 Centuries for Rohit in ODI defeats. Among Indian batsmen, only Tendulkar (14) has more hundreds in lost causes. Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly also have four each that went in vain.

Found this hilarious for the 14. I guess one of his Sharjah hundreds and the 175 in a 350 chase are both on that list.

Bailey is very Collingwood-esque. Looks far from fluent even when he's set but can deal with pressure very well.

Ashwin is mediocre outside Asia no surprise

feck. That's Rohit guaranteed an ODI spot for another 2 years then. Probably in tests as well

Game row at the Gabba today in Brisbane where it's beautiful one day, perfect the next. No Warner for Australia after his second child was born yesterday.
