India v West Indies

Nervous watching Sachin bat.

West Indies cricket really annoys me (I'm half Trinidadian). There is talent there, they're just not yet a modern cricket team. Need to get Pollard, Simmons and Dwayne Bravo in the test team asap, and find a keeper from somewhere, as Ramdin is genuinely awful.

I've played with all the Trini blokes a fair bit and Ramdin couldn't even play me, he's just not a very good cricketer, I doubt he would stand out as a batsman in a UK premier division club side.

Pollard in test team? I think not

He's honestly good enough, and works so hard at his game. I think he just needs a platform and the goal. Might take ten or so tests, but I think he would figure it out.

Remember Andrew Symonds when he first came in the test side and before he went mental.

Sachin was in very good knick today. Although feck knows how the Windies were bowled out that cheaply, pitch looks to have relatively few demons in it.

Phew. That was hard to watch. Haven't felt that for quite awhile.

Legend.

Watch in office. :) When has sachin playing ever stopped us from watching him, be at school or office.

I did today. But tomorrow some client is coming over from Lucknow to annoy us with pointless discussions

I was thinking the same.

Back in 90s, used to get goosebumps watching most of Ssachin's innings given how crucial they were almost always
I basically was a nervous wreck whenever he batted until my interest in cricket somewhat died (emergance of T20), with the 2011 world cup being an exception. This felt eerily similar. It's not even about the runs. It doesn't really matter what he scores. It's just that feeling of not wanting it to end.

Nail on head.

Yes. As a child, I used to cry when he used to get out early or in crucial matches. Later on, crying stopped but still remember feeling physically sick after that Chennai loss to Pakistan. I had a tuition class in evening later and still remember feeling emotionally and physically drained and taking thrice as long to reach the tuition class as I couldn't find energy to feckin paddle the cycle :(
Oh, and that 96 world cup semi. Even at that young age, knew it inside somewhere that once Sachin goes, batting is going to collapse like pack of cards. Just couple of incidences from many but then there are good memories in abundance as well :)

Hopefully the great man will make one more ton and reach 16k test runs, its the least he deserves for the entertainment he's provided for the world for the past 2 and a half decades.

Looked in very good nick and none of the bowlers seemed to trouble him. If this was in the mid 90's it was going to be a cert for a 100 but nowadays you're still not sure.

He's the greatest of them all. I've followed this sport all my life and he's the only batsmen I'd trade any player I've seen play for our national team. If he does get to 100 I'd like to see him going after the bowling like he used. Should make for some great viewing.

Oh come on. So there was a perfect excuse for giving a holiday too.

I've always felt Moharram should be holiday across the country. Okay, least in Haryana.

I will be watching this tonight. Probably all our last times watching Sachin bat... I'll stay up all night if I have to!

 Some people just want to watch the world burn. :P

He looked in good nick though, and the pitch is known to be best on 2nd and 3rd day at Wankhede. Let's see.

That straight drive brought back a flood of memories.

I think that's where Sachin's legendary status gets proper credentials. I've relived most of my childhood going through Sachin highlights in the last few days, brings back memories I didn't know I still had. Immense.

I'm not even a Sachin fanatic, I would swear by Dravid any day.

Just came across this video. Jaysus.
