India V Australia,Tests

ok listen im from india...enuff of parthiv patel next sachin crap..this is the first time im hearing this..and its hilareous..hes a talent and in the future may become a decent batsman..and hopefully a FAR better keeper..
we just hope he can make 20 every game...THATS how good he is at the moment..so solkjaer..chill out..i dont know what game u follow...

Ok, he's shit now, but he'll improve (with some catching practise).. "Next Sachin" was just a figure of speech (and a wrong one). I was just excited, that's all...

India played for the draw which was a bit disappointing from an Aussie perspective.

However, despite India playing well it was a distinctly sub-par Aussie bowling performance that prevented SW from retiring in style. Shame that a few of the best Aussie bowlers were absent IMO

McGrath is a match winner.... and would've made the difference.

Not sure about them missing Warne though, Indians usually play him with ease.(even during his pomp...)

India's batting's great.... but their bowling proves to be the problem yet again.... with 700+ on the board, they should've drove home the advantage..and won the game.

I know they'll point out that Zaheer and Harbajan were missing....but I don't think they're anything special.... certainly not better than anything they had on show.

Zaheer is a huge loss, compared to the rest of the bowlers.

India has, by far, the best batting line-up in the world (but that's my biased opinion). Their batting talent cancels out the bowling talent (or lack of).

I think it's on par with Australias.

I don't think India's batting cancels out the bowling. All good teams need bowlers who can bowl the oppostion out twice.... it doesn't matter how many runs you make, you can't win matches without taking wickets!! (last test match, is a prime example.... India simply didn't have the bowling to get through, an under pressure Oz batting line up..)

Australia will suffer big time when McGrath retires...... Brett's gone off the boil.....and Gillespie's past his best, he's had too many injuries....and looks a pale shadow of his former self. Warne....well, he's not the player he once was, even if he comes back, I don't think he'll be the match winner he used to be.

as i said before theres very little between these two teams...india are slowly bridging the gap...youv got to remember that your just missing glen mcgrath..warne never did anything against us anyway..sachin always took him tot he cleaners..
were missing 3..yes three! of our main bowlers..only now has kumble come into the picture..at the beginning of the tour if us asked the selectors who the main bolwers were..theyd say nehra zaheer and harbhajan...
i think thier loss will REALLY affect us in the one day game..because like today..we might knockoff the australian top order off but we have noone to keep the run rate down..only kumble is capable but he needs support and the rest are just oo inexperienced.. zaheer and harbhajan are by far our best bowlers

I think you have to look at the series in perspective and though you were missing Harbajan and Zaheer, you had some luck by discovering young Pathan and Kumble re-discovering his form. Without these injuries i doubt either would have been given much of a go so i dont think you missed Harbajan at all as Kumble stepped up and bowled as good as hes ever bowled. On the other hand Australia missed McGrath as they could not find anyone who bowled the consistent line and length he did and even though Warne had previously been slaughtered by the Indians i have no doubt he would have bowled better than MacGill as he maintains his line much better and has more variety. I think this resulted in an extremely evenly matched series and i cant wait till the series in India later this year.

sachin used as a figure of speech???thats a first
amazing game b/w pmsX1 and india
