India tour of South Africa.

I am pleasantly surprised of how well we seemed to have played after watching the first session earlier on today. Going to catch the highlights in the evening to judge for myself.

These 'experts'. How is it a surprise that pitch eased up in the third session of the day? That's per norm. It is still a tough pitch for a new batsman at any point and you need to weather that early part. SA middle order failed to that in day 2 and suffered. Philander showed them it could be done.

They should get a fast bowler and a batsman in the panel. I imagine most of us would talk like these guys if put in that studio.

Ten must be making a lot of profit from this tour, why can't they hire some actual experts?

Also Indian pacers have not just bowled at the off side corridor like SA. Look at the number of lbws and bowled we got - 6. SA have not bowled at stumps too often.

I am watching Majerakar and Cullinan on cricinfo, much better.

Manjrekar's the best Indian commentator after Ganguly. Not saying much, but he is. And yea, Cullinan is good. As is Allan Donald, but he's coaching SA now.

Commentary's pretty soporific. Kepler Wessels, Robin Jackman, Pollock, Ackerman are too much of the same. The first two in particular are dull.

Would add Haysman to that list of dull commentators.

Imran Tahir has everything except control. Some proper filth he bowls.

I hate Jackman. He is frequently wrong about everything as well

For all the talk of biased Indian commentators, just noticed that the SA commentators are even more biased. They talked a load of crap yesterday.

He picked up that subsequent injury at the IPL, right? That put him out at a crucial time.

Pujara's making really good deliveries look like normal ones..

My biggest worry for today's match is that Dhoni's conservative instincts kick in and he hesitates in declaring.

Same. Though I think worst he will do is declare at tea.

The worry is that this SA batting line-up has 5 players who can bat really long. Petersen and Duminy apart..

Think they will attack now. Hopefully get around 120 runs in next 35 overs and declare.

Kohli playing for his hundred. Would be a terrible time to get out. He can make up the balls he's wasting if he gets past 100.

Unfortunate dismissal. Hope there are more cracks like that.

Pitch acting horribly now.

Bad situation to be in now. Don't see us declaring before the tea. This will be a draw

We'll declare half way into lunch-tea session with a 420 lead. No way Saffer will try to get 420 on this type of pitch.

I am not sure how middle order looks in good shape. May be on paper but otherwise none of them are proven in those conditions. I would be surprised if we score more than 200 twice

Btw Crappy

that would make sense but I don't see Dhoni doing it. Basically we should just hit out now IMO. Score a quick 50-60 runs

Good partnership this. I was expecting both of them to bide time and just survive till Lunch. Instead they've scored at more than 4.
