The lack of power hitters will cost us in a big match for certain. Forget big hitters, the lack of decent batsmen beyond the top 3-4 will feck us.

Then why are India putting so much pressure on their lower order to accelerate to a big score? If they already know it's a weakness.
Also, why the feck didn't we just pick Jadeja? He's 100x better than Shankar.

The way we start so slowly is frustrating. When we don’t lose wickets it works out but if we lost a wicket or two early we’d have no chance of a good score.

It's a paradox(?). Looks like the top order plays slowly to avoid exposing the weak middle order too early, which in turn is ending up putting more pressure on the middle order to score fast, which they aren't capable of.
Thank god for our bowling, but it may not be enough when it really matters.

Absolutely no need of playing then both, as someone said in a previous post, Jadeja makes more sense then these too, better with the ball, way better fielder and can hit them long too

No surprise is seeing our middle order being shit. Been saying from the start it's all on the top order, hence Rohit being in form is absolutely invaluable.
If you cannot defend 337 then you cannot blame the batsmem. People are reading too much into the pak eng series where 350 was chased. WC is a different ball game and chasing 300 plus is not easy.

Yep, personally think the total is 40-50 too many runs for Pakistan to catch. India with the spinners have got this.
Yes and t20 has made 300 look like 250 but still chasing 300 plus in WC is not easy. I wouldn't be even confident if India are asked to chase 300 plus against SL or bangla so this would be very tough for pak against a formidable indian bowling but ofcourse anything can happen so would avoid acting all giddy right now.
We aren't England who need 370-380 to ensure a win given how easily their bowling gets plundered. Our bowlers will defend 340-350 more often than not, and NZ pretty much got a point for free due to the washout.

Honestly I would have 330 plus every day against every opponent. As I said chasing 300 plus in WC is not an easy task irrespective of how amazing your batting is. We found it in 2015 wc semis when we had to chase 329 against Aus. If I am given this scenario of having us scoring 336 against england in the finals, I would bite my hands off that and take it.

Yeah 330 on the board puts pressure on the opponent to have to score quickly so that the rate doesn't get away from them.
