ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

Dropping pandya on 0 was insane
Probably cost Australia about 50-60 runs

For the record, Finch scored a 100 odd at the Oval when him and Roy chased 220 in 16 overs for Surrey against Middlesex in a T20. If him and Warner get going it could be interesting, although Bumrah seems to have his number.

Think people underestimate a 300 plus score in a WC match. The pressure of chasing a 300+ score will be massive, especially if Bumrah gets off to a good start.
Felt Kohli could have done a bit more though

If Aus can see off Bumrah they will have a chance. But 350 is a massive score overall and scoreboard pressure makes it even more tougher.

Sanjay Manjreker making so much sense at last. Finally we have someone who can suggest something worth considering for the ICC.

And there are some here who think he is a bad commentator

Similarly, I am 100% with Gavasker for changing the front foot no ball rule, it gives tge umpires very less time to concentrate on line, length of the delivery and can help him better judgment on LBWs decisions.

Bail thing is becoming comical now. Something needs to give.

If we can't boo Smith, who can fans actually boo?

The first rule of cricket is if the ball hits the wicket, the batsman is out.

Anything that doesn't allow that to be enforced should simply be changed.

That’s not the rule though is it

This has turned into a bit of a bizarre start for Oz now. They will really have to go after big against Pandya and at least one spinner.

Aren't the Aussies being a bit too cautious?
30 odd runs in 10 overs is very slow, especially with the pitch expected to slow down a bit and with spinners incoming
But Warner being there is a big plus

Bails were more or less used so that it was visible to the eye if wickets were actually hit. Hence the at least one bail dislodge rule. Currently the bails are not fulfilling the very function they are supposed to.

I’m not sure why they needed to make them so much different to normal bails to be honest, surely they can use bails the same size and weight that light up and give no cause for argument? Although I’m not convinced the one this morning would have dislodged the normal once to be honest.

30 odd?

Did pandya give away the same in 2 overs as the other 2 in 8 overs?

You can “Christ” all you want but it’s not been the first rule of cricket for centuries and the whole point is to break the wicket not just hit it. Whether or not these current bails are making that too difficult is a different story.
