I'd argue Chahal over Yadav is also tending towards the more defensive option. Yadav is a lot more capable of ripping through a team than Chahal, even if he hasn't quite shown it so far this world cup.
I actually don't understand why India are batting so deep. Their openers are going to eat up 200 out of 300 balls anyway.

We started same way against Eng and still got 300+, that too with Dhoni not trying to score at the end. NZ can capitalise on this slow start too - outfield is lightening quick and does not look like the pitch would help spinners at all.
They will deserve all the stonings if they lose this match due to pathetic team selections. Karthik playing in semis having batted for less than 10 balls, Jadeja just his second match in semis and no 6th bowling option whatsoever.300 should be comfortablely obtained.
You got to 300 because Kohli and Sharma batted for 30 overs. NZ don't have that kind of batting. Nicholls, Latham are wastemen in this format and Kane doesn't have a higher gear.

Yes, NZ would definitely big innings from either Williamson or Taylor as well. CDG and Neesham can score at a quick pace for them.
