ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

I still don't think he will play in the semis. Can see is going with 3 pacers and a spinner and pandya against England. Maybe at lords if we play the final he would play but doubt at edgbaston

I think he will. Kuldeep and Chahal haven't done enough to cement their places.

Playing them in position :

1. Sharma
2. Roy
3. Shakib
4. Smith
5. Stokes
6. Pandya
7. Carey (WK)
8. Amir
9. Ferguson
10. Bumrah
11. Starc

3 x IND
3 x AUS
1 x BAN
2 x ENG
1 x PAK
1 x NZ

Sounds about right.

Yep, this looks close to mine if we're sticking to where players have played (although I think I'd have to take Roy out given how much of the tournament he's missed). Not sure about Smith or Pandya either, but struggling to think of anyone that did better.

Bhuvneshwar and kuldeep trying their best to not be selectes for the semis. Both of them look so uninspiring.

Disappointed to see Bhuvaneswar and Kuldeep struggle to find their length and line. Happy that Sri Lanka are putting up a score that'll require the middle order to step in.

Kuldeep just hasn't done enough this WC to warrant a place in the semis. I think that, and Kohli's favouritism, means that Chahal will be selected ahead of him.

Shami has already been brilliant, so he'll come back either in place of an off-colour Bhuvi or along with him if we go with 3 pacers.

The interesting question is, who will make the cut from the trio of Kedar Jadhav, DK and Jadeja?

It seems we give few runs away every match from behind the stumps.

If DK doesn't perform, I would go with Jadeja. That makes the batting a bit weak but there will be more bowling options. If only Jadeja could bat with a bit more consistency

Kuldeep apart from the Pakistan match has been generally underwhelming.

Wow Saffers really destroying the aussies right now.

Why did Silva come in before Perera? Waste of space having him in the team if you don't give him 10 overs at the crease.

Yes and the other problem with him is that he gets worse once he gets tonked a bit, whereas Chahal keeps coming back even when getting a beating (hence Kohli uses him in the powerplay as well).

Yeah I was just saying that for all the talk about Kohli favoritism towards Chahal, it has been a right decision to drop Kuldeep.

Speaks a lot about batting first advantage in this tournament.

Bumrah this tournament:

vs SA: 2-35, 1 maiden
vs AUS: 3-61, 1 maiden
vs PAK: 0-52
vs AFG: 2-39, 1 maiden
vs WI: 2-9, 1 maiden
vs ENG, 1-44, 1 maiden
vs BAN, 4-55, 1 maiden
vs SL, 3-37, 2 maidens

Dread to think what would happen to Indias batting without Rohit right now

Rahul looks better today. Would be good to see him play faster.

Why the feck would they send Duminy in?
