Australia through.
No doubt.
Sanga did not single out players after the NZ game. He just said the fielding was not up to standard. Compare that with what Dhoni said after India lost to the Paks.
Who is the consummate pro?
Australia don't look all that, do they?
Never write them off.
They will still smash us.
That's because England aren't great either. Anyhow, NZ are gay, always have been. But Pavan's probably right, Pakistan look the best bet. They'll beat NZ no doubt, but anything's possible in the final. T
Australia for me.
Probably. Teams that struggle to qualify always win these types of tournos.
You're a complete idiot.
Great game by Pakistan. Wish he'd gone with Gul instead of Ajmal in the 48th over. Brilliant by Rana, though.
Aussies walking this.
England took bowling lessons from the Indians or what?
Aussies will thump the New zelanders in the final. Oh well for Pakistan...
I think NZ are the most pointless side in world cricket.
You could say the same thing about England.
What have NZ ever won? they're like Middlesboro.
They have won the champions trophy, which England never won.
Wow. City won the Zenith Data back in the 80s. They've always been pointless barring Richard Hadlee and Martin Crowe.
Everything else in Cricket seems irrelevant to me, aside from the Ashes.
What is your point?
If you think NZ are pointless then i could say the same about England never winning anything either.
It's unbelievable how England never won the World-cup when they apparantly discovered the game of Cricket.
Apparently? England is the home of cricket. Lord's, Old Trafford, Oval et al steeped in history. From WG Grace to the current era. . .from Bodyline to the last Ashes. They're just so much history and tradition involved with English cricket. NZ doesn't compare. . .nor does India for that matter. But I'm not surprised that the two tournos you mentioned were a part of one day game. . . mickey mouse cricket, mate. NZ are and will always been pointless. Watched the game for three decades now. . .and that fact has never changed.
I have no idea why you're even debating this.
You sound like a Liverpool supporter there, no one is denying your history. But, it is simply wrong to accuse a team's status in the International game when they have earned their right as much as any other team to represent themselves on a global stage.
The fact of the matter stands, sure Ashes is the most renouned Test series in the cricketing world but it doesn't test you against all of what the opposition can throw at you in a short space of time.
I wasn't really arguing about Test or One-day format of cricket in the first place anyway. Just making my point that if England are bieng represented on a global stage, then New Zeland have every right to be in the game.
