Rangnick was supposed to come in and change the playing style. He was a godfather of the press. He couldn't do it with this set of players and half a dozen have gone. Unless Ten Hag is an absolute miracle worker, he needs a lot of new faces to implement the style he wants to play. City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs all fast out of the blocks again and securing their targets early. Chelsea will spend again and were obviously waiting for completion of the takeover. Malacia looks like a decent understudy for Shaw but the lack of rebuild in midfield and attack makes me think that United will be scratching around for players at the end of the window again.
