I hope Brighton get promoted out of the Premier League

Can't stand them and Danny chip on his shoulder Welbeck

Haha.. They are fine. Have done really well since being promoted. ETH cant figure them out  .. but then again, its ETH.. he cant figure most things out.

They aren’t even good. We make them look like it though. I don’t think they’ll make top 10.

If Welbeck played 38 games against Utd every season they’d win the league and he’d have multiple ballon d’ors.

Ridiculous as Brighton were rubbish really, the game today highlights how much United haven't progressed under Erik.

They used to be very good. They're not at the same level as before, due to their business plan, they're more of a business than a club really.

Erik would be stunned by a simple card trick :(

They're going to win the league, no doubt about it. Champions in March.

I mean, we beat them 2-0 the game before this one.

The salt on this forum sometimes.

They're one of the most inoffensive clubs around, certainly at prem level in the last decade.

I do have that opinion though given in my 35 years I've so far never actually met a Brighton fan (apart from seeing them at games of course).

It wasn’t really Brighton. That is the most asleep I have seen a defense in a long time. They left half the goal wide open. Two Brighton players could have easily scored there. That moment of the game was shocking.

Not game raising though, we just gifted them two goals. Both teams kind of hapless today.

Their crowd were also very quiet for most of the match, we didn't face any rousing atmosphere either, like a local cricket or bowling match and then they get an underserved gift at the end.

I wonder what international viewers feel when watching such a quiet atmosphere and how lively German fans are. Did the rain really send them into depression or something, it was worse than a hopeless Goodison park in recent years.

They have beaten us a lot of times at the Emirates alone, not sure why the thread or this constant conspiracy teams raise their games against you? They're a great solid little team who punch above their weight and play football a fantastic way and Utd have been constantly found out by teams who play this way. And like I said as for 'game raising only against Utd', they've easily beaten us too in London for some years now, in a row.

For what its worth I thought United played quite well the first half, De Ligt when fit would be a good upgrade on Maguire (Maguire who I said isn't good enough and will lose you points which he did and I was criticised for criticising him a few weeks back).

You need a quality winger who can score aka like Saka/Trossard/Martinelli and another midfielder, as Casemiro's legs aren't there and Mainoo is still young and lost the ball a few times today.

Amad scored. And Garnacho had a tight / unfortunate offside.
Point stands. Those two are nowhere near Saka/Martinelli at present. Garnacho might be getting there, but it's still not enough for the brand of football United play

Fans who're angry at the ref and the opposing team make me laugh. It reveals your character in real life - blame others for your struggles.

They cost a fraction of Utd’s squad and will easily finish top half

Martinelli hasn’t been great for a while.
Saka has, and when Martinelli wasn't good they had Trossard, who was

Point is less about specific players and more about overall options. You desperately need Rashford to get back to 22/23 form

Putting on my "bitter cnut" hat...

Brighton, or more specifically their owner's SOLE purpose in football is to profit from whatever talents they can sell to other teams, using the club as its vessel to do so, and you can't really argue otherwise. They've never won any trophies of note, they've never won the league, and they never will. Their owners, the board, nor their fanbase will never aspire the club to be at that level, even for a short period of time. What matters is the profit they get from flipping players like Caicedo, and rinse and repeat with that profit. Clubs with similar stature in city and stadium size have previously won titles and domestic cups so that's not really an excuse, either. (e.g. Deportivo)

A completely pointless, useless club that won't be missed by anybody if they disappeared tomorrow. Being our bogey team is just the icing on the shit cake.

...And with that out of the way, if we were a better team today we would've beaten Brighton. No real excuses for the typical late goal to lose it.

So what you're essentially saying is that they are the Dortmund of the PL without the European pedigree?

They're a well run club with world class scouts who keep signing excellent players and finding ways to improve after losing their biggest talents every season. They're here to stay in the PL.
