I am Legend

there are rumors that there will be a sequel for i am legend...they could fecking give a proper ending.

I don't see how the sequel is going to be any better. They owe it to the book and Richard Matheson to make a film with the ending that he intended, not another cheesy Hollywood ending.

I don't think it ever really got going. A great concept, and I thought Smith was superb in it, but in reality, it ended as soon as it started. This was made worse with them padding it out with them getting out in the car. By all means, the dock scene was important to give us an idea of Smith's mental state.

The scene with the dog is very moving, anyone who has been there with a pet will be hard pushed not to be moved by it.

Overall a 6 out of 10

Got the DVD screener and watched it. Alright movie. Not the best, but alright. Heard that I Am Legend 2 has been greenlit. Anyone knows what's it about then??

I guess that would look a lot like the Resident Evil concept or the Jericho series. Y'know with the closely knit society in a post apocalyptic environment. I am afraid a sequel will ruin it's predecessor if it isn't well enough thought out. It isn't scheduled for release until 2010, and that is a good sign.

I've been told Will Smith is fit in that movie, anybody has a screencap of the "training sequence"? Cheers.

Entertaining movie but not the best movie. Very similar to 28 days later and Resident evil.

Should have chucked the grenade through the hole in the glass and then ducked. Thats what I would have done. What a gimp

He really should have chucked it through the hole instead of challenging the enemy to a 50-50...

Also why the feck were there lions at the begining and hundreds of dear?!

The explosion wouldnt have been half as big in real life either. But as he said to the woman and child at the time, they werent going to stop till they got one of them.

The woman and child stayed hidden until after dark.

Average film at best. Wish I hadn't bothered with it.

Anyway, according to Wikipedia:

"The film's producers and sound people wanted the creatures in the movie to sound somewhat human, but not the standard," so Mike Patton, former lead singer of Alternative rock band Faith No More, was engaged to provide all of the infecteds' screams and howls.[31]

Is this true?? Or just some wiki-bollocks?

Just finished watching it

utter, utter shite - one of the worst films I have seen in ages and probably ever.

A very, very poor man's 28 days later

wish I could get my time back - don't bother

You were probably expecting zombies and blood then in that case?

Worst review of the film i've seen to date, dont take any notice.

I didn't have any expectations really - as I'd heard nothing about the film and had only seen glimpses of the trailer - just did nothing for me and wish I hadn't bothered.

Folk are allowed to have different opinions to each other and disagree you know

I was the other way around. I found 28 days later just tolerable and 28 weeks later fairly Major rubbish. I Am Legend entertained me and made me jump etc. without annoying me.

IMO the thing you could criticise it for the most is the failure to explore the main character dealing with the aloneness which was hinted at but not taken further. I believe the book on which the film is based does this a great deal more. A shame since it would have possibly have made this a far less forgettable film.

PERSECUTE THE BLASPHEMER

;)

The scene with the dog was easily the best and the only major thing Itook from watching the film. It was okay.

28 Days Later was miles better. 28 weeks later wasnt.

Was good 'til about halfway through. Then it got stupid, especially the ending.

Really the only redeeming quality was how they portraid Will Smiths character, I thought they had him spot on: As in kind of bonkers after being by himself for however many years.

The zombie things weren't too convincing.

Also what was with the dog fight scene, if the dogs could run across surely the blood crazy humanoids could've too. Hrm.
