People said that he was influential in the dressing room as though that must have been a good thing!
It's only 'good' if the influence is positive. It's 'bad' if it's a happy loser mentality with pretences about being a celebrity that can potentially breed a negative culture in the dressing room.
Pogba might have worked out in a stronger squad surrounded by stronger characters. But at United, he was the biggest character in the place. As such set the tone for how everybody else conducted themselves and represented the shirt. If Jose is to be believed (which I'm inclined to do), he was a major source for the problems that have plagued us for so long.
Overall, he was possibly the worst signing in United's history. £89m with no sell on fee, injured for about a third of our games, disinterested for a lot of the rest, unable to function outside of a mythical Goldilocks zone, needed a setup with 4 or 5 players around him dedicated to making him look good, refused to play with any effort in an era of high pressing, repeatedly disrespected the club with thinly veiled hints at wanting to leave, more interested in looking good for youtube compilations rather than winning games, and a damaging trend setter for the club culture.
Wanted him to succeed. Disappointed he failed. Glad he's leaving.

Sicknote. Did he give 100% every game, I don't believe so.
Promising start, goal in the EL final, then just occasional rise to his high ability which lasts for about 5 games. He had a great sign of form in Ole's season when we were attacking the top of the table near christmas... all went to shit anyway.

Bingo. If your supposedly best player is having a lay down attitude it goes across the dressing room.
And I don't blame Pogba, he is who he is. But, the club should have recognised it.
More than anything, Pogba should be remembered as the poster child for Woodward's failed Galactico experiment.

That's my take on it too, nothing against the lad, just utterly forgettable. What a waste. Hope some good comes out of it all though and players realise getting the whole package right, the club, style of play, the targets and so on are more important than a youtube clip. The big winner from this is the agent.
Barely anything of note to remember. By this time next year I'll be struggling to say anything about his time here.

More trouble than he's worth with a parasite of an agent
He has the best youtube video highlights of all time after Ronaldinho. I remember watching it hundreds of times of his time at Juventus before he signed for United
he won feck loads with Juve and France, starting most matches - that to me says we didn't use him properly
That being said, I thought he'd be more of leader than he has been and that might have made the difference. Perhaps he succeeded at France and Juve is because they had leaders and let him do what he had to without that burden on his shoulders, whilst at United we expected to be a leader
I'll remember that he was at the right place at the wrong time.
I will always remember how he missed almost every game against Liverpool.

That’s fair. He did have that 45 against City and there were glimpses what a top player he could be in one of Ole’s first few games. But either way, how sad is it that we are trying hard to remember just a handful of expected performances.
One of a handful of players worth paying my £740 a year to watch. A joy to watch more often than not and we actually won something.

Wrong player at the wrong club, basically. He would probably have been remembered much more fondly if I had been able to slot into a team at the top of the game, where his weaknesses could’ve been carried, to a certain extent. But he’s just not a leader who elevates a team to the next level.
Dozens of players in his time, and hundreds before, have had less talent and ability but have been more effective in midfield.
Wherever he goes, I hope he fails desperately like he did at United.
The fact he has ran his contract down twice despite a record fee being paid for him, says more about him than his football. Someone with his natural ability should be talked about among the great Utd midfielders, but he doesn't get a look in, and that's down to no one but himself.

POGBA and all those fun hairstyles. So much preparation and effort went into them before each game.
Remember his (second) debut for us. I really felt he was the missing piece and he had some really magical touches and passes in that game. A shame it didn’t work out.
He is the "Anti-Robson" a polar opposite to Captain Marvel. Both suffered from injuries, but with Robson they came from herculean effort and dragging a whole team upto his own heights.

Pogba saved his best timing for his agent releasing stories about his contractual situation or for updates on his fashion / holiday / status.
Robbo led by example on the pitch, even though he was by no means a saint off it. He would play out of position to protect his team mates and would be happy to get physical if needed.

Not that it will happen, but imagine the club he leaves for has a barren run of trophies whilst ETH gets us back to success 
Yeah based on the little I know about Pogba and Juventus or France dressing room, he wasn't in the top 4 or 5 leaders, not the ones that raise standards on the training pitch, not the ones that moan about every little imperfections. But from what I understand his role shouldn't be ignored, he has been for France and also Juventus a player that brings different groups together and maintain a good atmosphere.
Now you really need to have the soar losers and the guys that set the rules/discipline and I don't really know who had those roles at United.
