How much these Manchester United Players should cost in Current Market

Average for Fellaini is about 25 million. We paid about that money, or just a little more. He have been something between shite and average, but for sure at least not as good as we hoped. And is now 4 years older so i can't see reason why he should cost more than 15 million, or max. 20 million. Guys, soon 30 years old Fellaini can't be very expensive. ;)

£355 for all eight. Not bad.
Yeah, I pay around that much in rent + utilities every month. A bargain really for all eight of those. Heck, you could make like a 50M profit on De Gea alone.

Why not, Lukaku who has one year on his contract is 100 £ ...
Smalling is a world class defender, imagine we were in for him in the market ... how much Everton would have demanded for Smalling ?
That's a horrible joke.

> Smalling 60 millions
> Martial 45 millions

I want whatever you're smoking mate

Because a lot of fans are so immersed in their own club they find any objectivity difficult.

More interesting thought is how much we'd have to pay for any of the players above in today's market, with them at the same stage of their career as when we did purchase them of course.

I think Reynaldo asked the same question above.

I would say de Gea's value is being grossly over-rated. I'm not sure who would be interested in Fellaini at a price beyond £25m. Smalling and Jones seem around £20m to me. Junuzaj around £10m. The interesting ones are Shaw, Martial and Darmian. It would take someone better than me to assess their value based on their experiences at United.

Depends how long they've left on their contracts.

I would imagine we could probably get 100m for De Gea if we really tried. We don't need to sell and if they want him badly enough, they'll pay it anyway.

So I would say the max we could get...

De Gea 100m
Shaw 30m
Januzaj 15m
Jones 20m
Smalling 30m
Fellaini 25m
Darmian 25m
Martial 40m

How much we would get in practice if we were to sell the players, not what I'd consider them worth:

1. Darmian £12m
2. Adnan Januzaj £5m
3. Luke Shaw £15m
4. Fellaini £15m (in Premier League; £10m elsewhere)
5. David DeGea £55m
6. Anthony Martial £25m
7. Chris Smalling £10m
8. Phil Jones £15m

A couple of others:

9. Romero £1m
10. Herrera £35m
11. Pogba £60m
12. Rashford £35m
13. Lingard £7m
14. Mata £18m
15. Rooney £0m (w/ paying-up his current contract)

Just looking at some of the fees demanded for the likes of Salah, Pericic and Morata (who isn't a regular starter), I was just wondering how much some of Manchester United Players should cost that are potentially on their way out of Old Trafford. We have a history of selling our players much cheaper in the past (Nistelrooy, Hienze, Chicharito, Wellbeck, Johny Evans all sold so cheap). I would say...

1. Darmian approx 35 £
2. Adnan Januzaj 20 £
3. Luke Shaw 35 £
4. Maruan Fellaini 40 £
5. David DeGea 70 £
6. Anthony Martial 45 £
7. Chris Smalling 60 £
8. Phil Jones 50 £
Is that their values in just pounds and not millions?

Anyway,
1. Darmian £15m
2. Adnan Januzaj £2m
3. Luke Shaw £20m
4. Maruan Fellaini £10m
5. David DeGea £50m
6. Anthony Martial £30m

Smalling is a world class defender hahaha Jesus wept

Sitting on a computer putting some arbitrary value on a player is meaningless. They're worth however much someone is willing to pay.

Ok I'll play, the market has gone crazy, but our players are always lower in value than others, so:

1. Darmian £15m
2. Adnan Januzaj £12m
3. Luke Shaw £25m
4. Marouan Fellaini £40 No, I didn't leave off the 'm', I mean £40
5. David DeGea £70m
6. Anthony Martial £35m
7. Chris Smalling £16m
8. Phil Jones £10m

If I was United I would go with..
1. Darmian approx £25m
2. Adnan Januzaj £12m
3. Luke Shaw £30m
4. Maruan Fellaini £30m
5. David DeGea £75m
6. Anthony Martial £60m
7. Chris Smalling £25m
8. Phil Jones £18m

If one payes 30 mill for a young untried and inexperoenced Gk from a relegated club..then please lets us allow ourselves to overprice our players.

1. Darmian £15m
2. Adnan Januzaj £8m
3. Luke Shaw £20m
4. Marouane Fellaini £15m
5. David de Gea £70m
6. Anthony Martial £35m
7. Chris Smalling £20m

Stopped reading there and realistically I already went too far.

Darmian €30
Januzaj €15
Shaw €50
Fellaini €50
De Gea €100
Martial €80
Smalling €30
Jones €20

Market be crazy

Honestly, threads like this just make this forum seem an embarrassment. Did you even think before making it?

 Behave. But of fun instead of moaning about no signings every other day. It's like there's no truth to what he is saying. Quoted prices in this window for average players is a joke. No just England either.

You know the whole concept of supply and demand just eludes everyone on this forum at times. I find it hilarious. If we are looking to offload a player, on high wages, our asking price would have to ENTICE potential buyers. If we didnt want to sell a player our price would have to be ABSURD. Something that would be too good for the seller to pass up.

It also depends on who is selling and who they are selling too, and how much the other knows about the other. If im selling umbrellas in light showers to working class people, my price will be different than if im selling umbrellas in a thunderstorm to the top 1%. Its that simple. People saying we should get x amount for Januzaj because Y went for X amount. Who dah feck wants to buy Januzaj? City? Bayern? Madrid? is there a bidding war? are we desperately trying to keep hold of him? Is he on low wages? feck no. Hes going to go dirt cheap. Thats just the way it works. The last time we sold someone we didnt want to sell he went for a world record fee.

This is sensible and we could have no complaints if they were sold for these fees.

Would you buy these players for a total of £355m?

Smalling shouldn't be cost 60m pounds. But people who put his price less than 25m pounds or closed to Jones is mad. Unless if he only has 1 or 2 years left in his contract, he should be cost more than 30m pounds or even 40m pounds. He's english means he should cost expensive and the lad has proven himself to be good centre back for PL level in 2014/2015 & 2015/2016. He also had another good season in 2010/2011 as a young defender. He has done more than Jones!!

Smaling Should be 30 m And martial should be something like 60 m

It always thought transfer value was based on paying out the current salary across the length of the contract, then compensation to what the club feel is a fair reflection on what the player is worth or will be worth. For example Morata on a £30m contract + Madrid want about £40m for him = £70m.

What you're also forgetting is that prices fluctuate if a player is playing well and how much in demand he is.

Meaning Chris Smalling is worth about £15m at the current market rate. No one in their right mind would pay £60m for him.

This has literally left me speechless. If you could get this kind of money for these players, you need Woodwards job immediately.

Darmian is extremely limited offensively and is considered a squad player. How can we make a profit on him? Looking more like 10-15mil if we sold.

Adnan - glimpses of potential under Moyes, years ago. Done naff all with us, Dortmund and Sunderland. Would struggle to get 10mil

Shaw - Could argue we could get 20-30 based on potential. Hasn't played much or well enough to justify this fee though. Would struggle to find a buyer.

Fellaini - 40mil - just wow. Based on ability, I think a club like stoke or west brom would happily pay 10-15mil.

De Gea - 70mil for a keeper is insane but he is truly world class so would hope to get as much as possible.

Martial - would probably agree but he hasn't shown any justification that he is a 40mil player. Would probably get 30

Smalling - the biggest over estimation in the history of football. Tone that down, he is junk on the ball, inconsistent, lacks concentration and is error prone. Would be lucky to get 15-20. As he is English, could argue 25.

Jones - second over estimation in the history of football. Didn't he cost us 16mil, barely played a regular run of games and spent half his time being injured. While he had a few good games last season, this hardly warrants this valuation. 10-15 at a push.

Some serious over valuation here. I suppose you think Dier is cheap at 50mil?

You must be having a laugh:lol:

Darmian 35m?
Shaw 35?
Fellaini 40m?
Smalling 60m?
Jones 50m?

However, I would like that to be the prices you demand, as you will then keep them forever.

It would be more interesting to guess what some of your former players would cost in their prime. Players like Keane, Scholes, Giggs, Schmeichel etc. Now they would command enormous fees!

Imagine spending 240 millions and ending up with
------------------------Januzaj
-----------Fellaini
Shaw-Jones-Smalling-Darmian

I think we saw a change in that last season. Woodward actually got a lot for Schneiderlin and Depay considering their performances since signing. I doubt all of those players will leave though. Of that list I only expect Smalling and Januzaj to go. I don't think we'll get much for Januzaj. He really hasn't done much in the last couple of seasons. Maybe 10-15m? Smalling should command a higher fee though, but definitely not 60m. I'd say 20-30m.

If Barca offered us £60m for Rashford tomorrow, would you tell them to get stuffed or snap their hand off and drive him to the airport? How about £80m for Bailly? Deal or no deal?

£110m for Jones and Smalling lol

Two injury prone back up defenders in the region of Mbappe. Always good for a laugh the caf

If Woodward can manage that, then he should get his own statue outside OT.
