There's this perception that United would be better off if they bought the entirety of Brighton as a club and replaced everyone we currently have with them (playing and non-playing staff).
The truth is this:
- what they are currently achieving wouldn't be close to what is expected at United. It'd be called a disaster of a season.
- they'd not even achieve that they have done under the sort of pressure and expectation that we operate under.
Making the huge step up to handling multiple competitions, including Europe, and then title challenging level would require a completely different approach to recruitment etc. I'd put my house on that exposing their scouting network / transfer business as severely lacking, and no doubt show De Zerbi to be out of his depth.
Basically, Brighton are doing great for what was expected of them, as expectations change they'll struggle to maintain this level. And when compared to what challenges we face at United, they're operating in a totally different environment.
It's probably a generational thing but their football bores me.
The 30 pass move for the second goal is lauded. But pass number 20 was still in their own half.
Watching a team pass the ball so much in their own half is just dull. It might be effective at draining the opposition but it's also bloody good at draining the spectacle.

I hope they beat City and LiverpoolI hope they lose all their games this season
Only we make them look like prime Barcelona
Even if they finish 15th this season, what they’ve achieved has been impressive and worthy of praise
Yes the media and people saying things like title contenders are over the top. Dunking on them the second they have a bad defeat to a very good Villa side seems strange
A league with City, Newcastle etc. and football fans revel in the defeat of Brighton.
Not strange given the hyperbole surrounding them.Even if they finish 15th this season, what they’ve achieved has been impressive and worthy of praise

Cannot compare with Leicester ..Southampton had huge plaudits a few years back, finishing in the top 8 four years running. They're now in the Championship.
Leicester were praised to the heavens for a few years. They're now in the Championship.
Brighton haven't beaten football. They're just in a good period and will then return to the Championship.
