Classic big game performance for him (which is becoming the norm for him for all games)
 
So poor again today , even a five yard pass looks beyond him .Then giving the ball away constantly .

But but but we normal fans don't see how great he is defensively, and that is big reason why Mourinho plays him.

He's shit at 10. Coming from a BvB fan, i can assure that his best position is a free roam RM. He was a rubbish 10 but fantastic RM for Dortmund.

Even his best games for us came from the right flank (Spurs last year). In fact, he has played mostly at 10 for us and he has proved that 10 is not his position
 
I never saw his amazing season at Dortmund, but saw him a bunch in the CL before his 'breakout' year - and it was like this. Good speed, terrible decision making. A player who seemed to be where good chances went to die.
 
Imagine us having a number 10 that could consistently pass and dribble with the ball.
 
If he cant provide service to Rom/Rash he is no use up front, dwelling too much on the ball today that fecker
 
Even with Matas demise this season id rather him play as our number 10 than this guy. Been shocking so far

Horses for courses. He would be amazing at Spurs or Liverpool, bur looks terrible for United most of the times. Due to our defensive setup, he gets no space or time - all decisions look difficult. Put Son in our team and he also would look like he never has time on the ball. Frustrating stuff, and extremely boring.

Yia I remember his awful games against Real Madrid, missed chance after chance. Our scouting is terrible.

He had that exact thing at Dortmund and had a season even worse than this one.

Who can you blame for him giving the ball away ?

He's a coward. Doesn't want to be involved at all. For any faults Mata has he at least wants to play.
 
Just jogs around like this is some exhibition match. Easily our most frustrating player on a consistent level.
 
He's shit and in turn causing our strikers to be shit. Can't expect us to play good football when there is no link between the midfield and attack.

I'd try Rashford at 10 and put Martial up top.
 
Regulary having one of worst passing accuracy in the team, and leading by number of unsuccesful touches and times dispossesed. Mou continues to pick him up. Amazing.
 
A training cone would trap the ball better than him, probably pass it better as well.

The other players seem hungry for it, only Mkhitaryan looks disinterested.
 
Please, put him in the RM spot. It's the only chance that we can make him better.

He's a rubbish CAM. It's strange that many of you suggest that his best position is 10. I think part of the reasons why he's bad is because he is forced to play as 10.
 
Would get rid in the summer, really don't think he will make it here.
 
Towards the end, on Valencia's cutback, he was supposed to be at the edge of the box. It was a 9/10 chance if he were in position, but he is jogging around much deeper. The 3-4-1-2 isn't going to work if that 1 isn't connecting the 4 with the 2 up front. Consistently loses the ball, kills counters, passes sideways and backwards, and has not taken his man on even once.

Ozil over this charlatan anyday.
 
This guy needs ten good openings to be able to send one good pass. When he gets twenty such openings against poor teams, he rakes up his assists but when he get just five such good chances against good teams, he ends up wasting all of them. Needs to be more active and switched on.
 
Mentally weak. He seems to hide. Good footballer but he seems to lack confidence. Just watching him compared to alli you can see that alli is the type of player that will try and win the game, where as miki will just try and keep it simple which looks negative and cowardly when playing for a club as big as United.
 
He puts the team under so much pressure with his awful passing and then doesn't get in and do the dirty work to try and win the ball back.
 
He has the most important job in the side today, given the way Matic and Herrera are vulnerable to being outnumbered if he doesn't drop back. Sadly, he's just not on it. Hasn't got the presence. When he's had the chance to spring counters his decision making and execution has been poor.
