Pretty amazing how people are turning on against him now.

I was pretty sure that many were hailing him as some kind of creativity god even a lot better than mata last season.

Not exactly a shocking stuff though that people love to overhype new signings, then started to go the other extreme after a season.

Then looking for a new shiny replacement who they will do the same. again and again.
Thats how life is man.

Last few games

Look, this is how he generally plays, it's just that he's popped up with assists and goals out of nowhere in the earlier matches.

Same feeling for me.

I think he's been woeful all season.

He's not the player I hoped he'd be.

Imagine how much we'd be if we had Griezmann instead of him? Sigh.

He is definitely not good enough if we want to improve as a team, there is no number of assists he can make to make up for being shit and doing nothing with the ball for rest of the game. Not just that he is shit with the ball, he looks lost whenever camera shows him, I don't know if that's his normal behaviour or what, but he doesn't look like he is clicked with the team at all. Then there are some moves from him that are really difficult to explain, plus he is absolutely nowhere near big goal threat with his terrible shooting and choking at cruicial moments.

Turning on him ? He is playing very badly so he gets criticized, when he does well he gets praised. It is as simple as that.

Yep, we were playing shite last season and one of the solutions proposed was to play Mkhitaryan behind the striker.

He's a decent no.10, Griezmann would have been a massive upgrade.

I think we were just very bad as an attacking team in the first half. Way too many misplaced passes not only from Mkhi, but from Herrera and Rashford and others. Matic has been good so far. The only guy that know what to do. He needs help. Hopefully, Jose will say a few nice words to these bunch. I think we will be better second half. We lost our early season confidence.

Pretty sure people are just reacting based on his performances. If a player consistently plays fecking awful why should people pretend otherwise? We need better than that

Of course it is simple as that for some.

But for many, it is extreme. I am talking about general nature of some posters with players.

I didn't think he was that good last season but shit loads of people were saying how great he was to become while he was out being injured.

This season he got more playing time, some good and bad as usual and people can't wait to slate him then starting to talk about replacement. The guy hasn't even been here for 2 full seasons for us to say either way.

I'm not entirely sure what it is people are reacting to. It's a pretty standard Mkhi performance. As I said earlier in the season, stats wise he's been immense but in terms of how he has played he's been dreadful.

Not sure why people are bothered now, if he plays like this in the second half and pops up with an assist in the 89th min, then it's just the same as he was getting praise for earlier in the season
Not good last season or early this for me (consistently said not for me). People hiding behind stats because he has a few assists... Posted his assists/goals per minute a while back, behind Rashford and Martial.

Don't know what he adds that others can't. Worked at Dortmund, doesn't here... happy if moved on and wish him well.

He was instrumental in us winning the Europa, but nobody called him great. The signs were there that he would be a frustrating player.

We need an upgrade on him, not a replacement. Mkhi is a good player for us coming from the bench and offering competition to the starter, so he shouldn't be sold. But you would be kidding yourself if you think he will somehow improve to become a regular starter for a team that aspires to challenge for the CL.

This is Mkhi. Sloppy, inconsistent, but stat pads. Definitely has value, but as a squad player with Mata for depth.

People asking for Lingard back? Are you fecking mad, that myth of a footballer should be ran out of the club he's not good enough Lingard

I bloody well said it in the post above yours! But it was a moment of desperation and now I think I might regret saying it or at least I'm confused about what I just said. Listen, just forget I said anything.

What a bollock. If he is a youngster like Rashford or Martial with lots of potential, it is worth to wait even for 3-4 seasons.

Mkhi brought to be expected as performing starting XI not just squad player or bench warmer. He has been given a season to adapt. But still there is no significant improvement from him.

Unless yo want us forever toothless, this man should be replaced. Sold him to China to have a good fresh fund.

Again, you don't need to explain.

Overhyping new signing is nothing new here.

But then realize most people just want new shiny stuff rather than support and hope for the ones that are already here to raise their level.

Then we call other teams and managers out for spending shit loads while constantly berating own squad.

7 signings by jose already and the squad is still shit apparently. Or for some, it is an excuse to defend when players were instructed to play certain ways.

Needs benched for a few games. Hopefully he can get his head down again and raise his level, as he's been average for a few weeks.

Stunning how he survived until stoppage time. Really, really bad.

One of the main reasons we were so poor on Saturday and the same again tonight.

Appalling performances of late. Can’t live off his early season stat padding anymore either.

It's more likely that it's simply different people commenting on him, his fans and his critics respectively.

I'm only going to criticise players I don't rate after their bad games because it's impolitic to do it after their good games. He happened to have a mare today so his critics are out in force.

Terrible again but I disagree with the opinion of him being that since the start of the season. He's losing possession a lot since start of season, yes but his decisions were much better in dangerous situations. Now even the simple pass he can't do it.

Please start Lingard ahead of him. Yes it's gotten to that stage.

He's been poor for a while now.

Needs dropping with Mata moving to #10.

Doesn't mask a brutal performance. Anyone can win a free kick.

It wasn't good but wasn't as bad as some are making out.

Some days it happens, others it does not. That is to be expected given the position he plays in.

I get the feeling Mourinho has instructed him to always be forward thinking. If you look at Mata or Rashford tonight, they would pass it back. Mhkitarian tries to attack.

Granted he could have done better in some parts, but himself and Lukaku are surrounded by defenders and only have nano seconds to make a decision so they will lose the ball more often than not.

The thing as well, if you look at all the number tens, they all lose the ball lots of times. But we do not scrutinize them like we do our own players. If you do not believe me, watch them.

The likes of D.Silva and De Bruyne hardly never give the ball away, that's the level we require. They aren't exactly playing the same position at the minute but he's in the same niche of player.

I won't make excuses for professional footballers constantly giving the ball away with sloppy passes, overrunning the ball and being lazy at times.

He has been poor for a number of weeks, so it's not just this game or a small sample. I expect better from a Manchester United player, especially when these are his prime years.

To be fair he improved in the second half, he wasnt shitting himself whenever he got the ball and was passing the ball correctly. So there's no need to replace him with Lingard.

This is where you are wrong. I watched them both against Shakdar. I counted how many times they gave the ball away or lost it. De bruyne did it four times in the first thirty minutes. Silve had four times in the first half. De Bruyne missed a 1 on 1 with the goal keeper too. Go back and watch the first half if you think I am lying.

But like I said, the average fan only scrutinizes his own team. When it comes to players from other teams, we just zoom in on the good things they do. It is psychology.

Yeah, I watched the Shakhtar-City game as well and I thought Shakhtar were excellent overall. In general, though, especially Silva, De Bruyne and Silva are very good with possession unlike Mkhi who's generally careless and very inconsistent.

Last Christmas they gave him a pass and the very next touch, he gave it away.....maybe he thought we were in red.
