Feel bad for him with all the abuse/ridicule he's getting. I didn't want him here, and I'm glad he's leaving, but he's always come across as a nice guy.

This guy just cant handle the pressure to play for Man United. Arsenal is ideal place for him. Hopefully the deal wont be broken and we can get Sanchez because if the deal is broken, Mkhi will get abused by trolls army more harshly in his twitter or IG (and of course, our club too  ). well, hopefully all parties involved in this saga will be happy in the end.

It’d be interesting to know if anyone on this forum actually wants this guy to stay, as harsh as that sounds. I personally want what’s best for the club I support, not about the feelings of a player that’s shown nothing here and is being offered another huge chance to play for one of England’s biggest clubs. Sorry, but I don’t feel sorry for him if he even if he does come across a nice guy.

A lot of agendas against the guy in this thread. Maybe they’re just looking for a scapegoat.

I’m not his biggest fan by any stretch but if he wants to stay, I have no problem with it. He’s not our worst player... far from it infact. He is capable of pulling off moments of magic. That scorpion kick for example.

I don't know why people are getting angry at him.. If we see Riola's statement,he's basically trying to dress this up as Miki moving with Sanchez coming this way.. The whole Sanchez is part of the Miki deal is all bluster to get his client confidence up.. I don't see how the Sanchez move doesn't happen due to him,so there is no reason to go overboard criticizing him.. He'll move to Arsenal..

Ya me too.. Will remember the important role he played during our Europa run.. It didn't work out,happens..

Some fans over here behaving like Real Madrid fans who want a flashy new toy and would boo players whom they want to get rid.

He's the perfect player for Arsenal. Absolutely garbage mentally and will crumble on first sight of difficulty. Otherwise, capable of producing great performances. Good enough for 4th place.

Get off your high horse. Mkhitaryan has been shit and people rightly want better. Deal with it

He just never seems that arsed to me. If the going gets tough and he has a bad start to a game his head completely goes. A good contribution in our Europa run is the only thing he’s brought to the table. He’s been largely shite in the league overall. I reckon he’ll pack in football in his early 30s and go into politics.

This is the problem

Remove your blinkers and see that people are getting angry on him for not wanting to go to Arsenal and thus blocking Sanchez deal.
He has been crap and he is being benched or not in squad most of the time as he deserves. Hating him for not going to a chaotic team is childish.

It's his couldnt care less demeanour and his unwillingness to fight the cause. Seems to be a p*ssy who cant hack it. Not cut out for Utd where we demand the players give their all

Looking back I can't think of many memorable games he's had. Some great moments of course but was a passenger far too often. Compare that to the younger players like Martial, Rashford, Lingard who have all responded well to bad form or being dropped - makes me think that's something he won't ever overcome. Shame, really thought he'd turned a corner at the start of this season. Whether he goes or not for Sanchez, his time at United is clearly up. Good luck to him.

I haven't followed him nearly as closely as you have but isn't the problem more that he hasn't coped with the pressure well rather than not being bothered? That's a pretty big difference.

He said about his second season at Dortmund:

I had been signed for a lot of money, and I put a lot of pressure on myself.

"I had many hard nights in my apartment in Dortmund, all alone, just thinking and thinking. I didn’t want to go outside, even to have dinner.”

http://www.givemesport.com/929283-h...paign-under-jurgen-klopp-at-borussia-dortmund

He seems the kind of person who maybe worries too much about his problems rather than not feeling them.

Proper embarassment some of our fans are. The man is still human, so what if he didnt take off here, neither did Memphis, Kagawa,Zaha, Schniederlin, Obertan:lol:, Diouf, and of course diMaria. Just thank him for his contributions and wish him the best. Slag him off when hes kitted and on the pitch for the Arsenal.

Mkhi has acted like a true professional, I have no doubt he's given everything he has, simply didn't work out for either party. I can also understand Arsenal isn't attractive at the moment. Mkhi is just a month younger than Sanchez, both respective national teams did not qualify for the WC. As professional football players I'm guessing both want trophies before hanging their boots. This is a difficult situation for Mkhi. I hope we get Sanchez but I won't feel any grudge if Mkhi rejects a move to Arsenal.

It hasn’t worked out sadly. There is a great footballer in there but he has never managed to show any levels of consistency. He’s had a couple of spells where he has had 3 or 4 very good performances on the bounce but then the performances have declined rapidly. It’s a shame, if he could perform at his better level as often as a player playing for a club like this should, then he would be a key player for us. Time to part ways now. The erratic form is very much like when Nani was here. Perhaps it’s a mental issue.

I don't think it is fair to abuse mkhi. He will look at what is best for him first and not for the club. I have a feeling he does not want to go to arsenal which is surprising considering he will be perfectly suitable for them. Maybe he wants to leave England and play in a place where pressure is less.

I doubt it is Mkhi that doesn't want to go to Arsenal. It's most likely Raiola trying to get the most out for himself that is holding up the deal. The guy is a grade A douche.

Would be just like Wenger to sign him. One of my memories of him at Dortmund was a performance against Arsenal where he missed chance after chance.

He always does that. Doesn't he. Not a surprise sir Alex hated him.

Yeah, I'd rather we give Arse £30m cash and sell Mkhi to a German/Italian team instead. Even if it means fetching £5m-£10m. The chances that selling him to Arse could come back to bite us are very small, but I'd rather they are not taken at all if we have a choice.

If it's necessary for getting the deal done then feck it, get it done. But if it's not....
Basically you're giving Mkhi for free? His wage from now toward the end of the season would eat up most of the fund and there may be some cut for Dortmund, agent...

My bad, typo. I meant to say 5m-10m less, not a 5m-10m fee. There's a massive premium for EPL players transferring from one club to another. £35m for Drinkwater, £40m for AOC on his last year of contract etc. By selling Mkhi abroad you potentially lose that premium.

I still dont see why United just doesnt cough up the money to get Sanchez here instead of a swap, which rarely happens. Are Arsenal that intent on getting Mkhitaryan that they wouldnt accept money for a player they gonna lose for free in 4 months?

Don't be silly. You're talking about fans that boo'd a peak Ronaldo when he didn't score for one game. Mkhitarian has been atrociously bad to the point that Burnley fans wouldn't be satisfied, never mind the biggest club in England.

Ya. I was exaggerating with the Madrid fan comparison :D
Mkhi being criticized for bad performances is not what I am talking about. There are people getting all worked up, because Mkhi wouldn't pack up and leave and make the Sanchez deal happen now..

I think it was clear from the first minute he stepped on the pitch for us that he wasn't United quality. He's barely Premier League quality. I couldn't understand when these "outstanding" performances I kept hearing about earlier this season happened either - he's a slow, weak, low skill player.

Normally I'm happy for players to hang around and give us a bit of depth, but he's nowhere near the level a bench player needs to be. I'm utterly lost as to why Arsenal would be considering taking him off our hands, unless the deal is "you can have Sanchez if you pay us the same as everyone else offered and give us Mkhi, in which case, fair enough. But it's a bit like being offered a Porsche by one guy, and a Porsche plus a nice pad of A4 paper by the other - I'll take the Porsche and paper, but who fecking cares. :)

that's nonsense in fairness - he made some very impressive cameo appearances before a stinker at City and Mourinho benched him for about 10 games

he started this season excellently as well - 5 assists in 3 games I think but faded badly

he's too flaky plain and simple - good luck to him

I’ve never really taken to Mkhi but it’s a shame how his time with us is ending. He just doesn’t have the mentality to consistently perform for a club the size of Utd. He’s the very definition of a confidence player and it will be interesting to see how/if he responds at Arsenal.

Saying that he has been extremely underwhelming for us and it says a lot when the only thing I’ll remember him for is that scorpion kick.

I know Arsenal are a bit of a laughing stock at the moment but a similar wage, a move to London and the potential to link up with Auba isn’t too bad an option for him.

Eh yes he was. Just because he wasn't voted the best in the league doesn't mean he wasn't great there

I think the general opinion is he had one great season there, one average one and one poor one.

That wouldn't be enough to call his time there great I don't think.

You mean when he scored a goal away at Emirates? Dont post absurd shit here please.

In terms of talent, I would say Mkhi has it all. But the difference between him and say a Martial is mental fortitude.

It is easy to criticise the manager for calling players out but the likes of Martial, Shaw(to an extent) are proof that Jose is bang on when it comes to man management.

As has been mentioned , it is sad to see we are on the cusp of letting Mkhi go. In a particular system as adopted by Klopp/Tuchel/Wenger, he will thrive but in one that is more functional he will easily get found out. I genuinely felt he will do well this season especially after a decent return from him in the first few games of the season but I guess a move away makes sense for all parties.

He's a nice guy and I don't grudge him for trying to make hay out of the situation by demanding more money. But accusations of "fans are not loyal to players" are wide off the mark. For one thing, he's not played frequently for us to develop that connection and secondly, he has not really shown that he's playing his heart out for the club to excuse his poor performances.

Arsenal makes sense for him as they still have a chance of winning trophies this season and have a manager who is as good natured and spineless as himself. Doubt he will miss out on this opportunity to get his career back on track, if anything, we wouldn't have bid for Sanchez without consulting him and Raiola first anyway.

He’s a much better player than he’s shown here. Unfortunately the Dortmund curse strikes again. I think he’ll do well at arsenal if he can get his confidence back. His form here apart from the EL last year has been below par, his biggest fan would amit that.

Thank you for your service at United.
Good player, but couldn't handle the pressure. Wish him good luck.

Arsenal is probably his level. Never good enough for a team trying to top the league. Good enough to scrap between 4-6 in the table.

His crossing and constantly losing the ball in the final 3rd was enough for me. No hard feelings, not every “good” player can handle the pressure at OT, there will be more to fail here in future. Wish him well and he’ll be a guaranteed starter at Arsenal so all the best.
