He is very good player who offers something our other players don't, but if he continues shooting like he did so far in his Manchester United career he will unfortunately cost us many games in the future.
Have you ever said anything positive about him?

Poor today? He was involved in both goals and was the engine in the middle. Yes, he needs better finishing, but poor is the wrong word.
I said that early in the second half. I thought he was poor in the first half. He was getting into great positions, but his final ball was letting him down. He came more into it in the 2nd after we got the 2nd goal and space opened up. His movement was outstanding and he was getting involved. But again, his passing, final ball, and finishing let him down. Overall he was OK.

Yeah I am fine with admitting I am more critical of him than majority are, but I literally praised him more than I criticised him in the same post you quoted.

Wonderful, wonderful player but his finishing is dreadful for a player that has such sublime touch and passing.

I remember a game against Real Madrid years ago where his finishing completely cost Dortmund and they went out needing only 1 goal to go to extra time.

He was far from poor.
Again I'll say, I said that early in the second half, and for me, he was poor in the first half. Had a decent second half when the space opened up, but his final ball was poor on numerous occasions, as was his finishing all throughout the match. Overall, an OK performance.

He is a kind of a player when a MU attack starts you shout at your TV something like "give it to Mikhi for feck sake" ))) The whole speed and aggression comes from him or with his direct and important intervention. I only wish he'll one day stop to be too a nice guy and finish more and more himself. He's got a long and successful experience in scoring all types of goals.

Great pace and technique but something seems to happen to him whenever he has to shoot on goal, maybe some mental block.

Can't believe he sky-ed that great chance. He looked back at the grass after that shot. Nope it was all your Micki. But otherwise a good performance and he is pretty exciting to watch. Great dribbling and ball control. Good vision and man that acceleration.

Very good performance from him today. It's an absolute joy to watch a player with his technical ability.

Finishing is letting him down but I feel he will more than make up for that with assists.

Him and Martial running together especially on a counter attack is beautiful to watch.

Didnt have his shooting boots on today. Even in the second half, he scored similar against Leicester by lifting the ball but today he just drove it (possibly cos of his chance in the first half).

How many has he skied from the same spot ? Although today maybe was a bobble.

Love his pace and ability in tight spots. Defensively good too. Has to continue in this position at least against the teams we are expected to beat. He is able to drive at players and get beyond the defence when Zlatan drops deep.

Thought he was really good again today - at the heart of everything we did well. I'm amazed that so many people were underwhelmed by him. The feck were you all watching?

His finishing has always been erratic, stats don't tell you everything, but in the last 2 matches he's the hub of the front, he's the one that knits it together and orchestrates things.

The 2nd goal happened purely because of him.

He chased down the midfielder and pressured him until pog/Herrera won the ball back, then started the counter attack.

It's something so simple yet effective, exactly why Jose signed him IMO. Tevez and Rooney used to do this so well but Rooney doesn't have the energy for it anymore.

Mkhi mata Martial is our best 3 behind the striker. Can't wait to add griezmann to that list!

He's world class bar his finishing. That's how he was at Dortmund and Donetsk as well. If he would have had finishing technique like any other world class player he would have been the tier below Messi and Ronaldo for the last 3-4 years.

It was frustrating to watch him at Dortmund dribble past 3-4 player and finishing the ball in the stands. I'm sure it will be the same with us. But as long as he provides the assists, he's still better than most our players.

Superb player. Extremely intelligent in everything he does. So difficult to get the ball off him for an opposition defender.

He was poor by his standards but he played a big part towards getting the second goal

And the first goal. Basically drove that move forward by himself.

I thought it was a very good performance bar the glaring miss in the first half. Him plus Mata equals sexy football.

His finishing is bloody bizarre, he can mess up massively like the one he skied yesterday or he can fire home an absolute rocket like the goal against Leicester. It's a total mixed bag and there doesn't seem to be any correlation anywhere.

Some players can be great at reaction shots but mess up when they have too long too think, but he's scored great goals at the end of solo runs so that's not it.

Great player, if he could become more consistent with the finishing he'd be incredible.

He is equally strong through the middle or the right wing and if he can change positions so well as yesterday, it's hard for defenders and creates space

His finishing was the same at Dortmund, so I think we just have to get use to the inconsistency. It is a slight weakness, everything else is top quality though.

Patience it'll come! Just finding his feet and gaining confidence. Brain sometimes works quicker than his feet.

A bit better than okay for me ... so disruptive to the other team and so quick in transition. It will just keep getting better, I promise!

Seems to be a good trend on the caf these days to criticize almost all of our players.
I know, what is with that?

I thought he was ok-decent in the first half, not his greatest but then really did well the second.
ALways dangerous & I think like other good players tries some difficult final passes that get intercepted. Much better for me than the Van Gaal approach of sideways and backwards just to keep the fecking pill.

Don't get me wrong, I love the guy and think he's great, and will continue to improve. I just didn't think he was as amazing yesterday as others did.

He's great at those scoop balls over the top, so I'm hoping he tries them more often instead of constantly trying to squeeze a through ball between defenders.

Involved in both goals. One of the finishes could have been better, another bobbled, he isn't a terrible finisher. Look at how many goals he scored last year, you don't do that not from the striker position without knowing how to kick it in the goal.

I think you're correct; some of what he attempted didn't quite come off and so the performance was maybe not as "amazing" as it might have been.
I get that, but the fact we have a guy like Mkhi working so hard and trying through balls (a couple of which were oh-so-close to getting through) rather than cycling back and around every time is so refreshing ... and promising!

Agreed. Think things are looking promising!

i remember that game, it was just unlucky. Mkhi tricked the goalie and hit the post.

yep, he still holds the all time goal scoring record (being an AM) for the Ukrainian league. He will fix his aim and everything is going to be just great!

That's how I feel! Its hard not to be optimistic about Mkhi, he's so great.

Hopefully just a well deserved rest for our M.Targaryan.

He better fecking not be injured.
