I've seen both players in action a fair bit and I also take into account that it's easier to play well when you are surrounded by better players in a better team. From what I've seen I prefer Downing to Valencia ... simple as that.

Sorry, I can't let that slide at all. Did you manage to see Valencia completely shaft Ashley Cole repeatedly at Old Trafford by any chance?
