Hazard or Oscar or neither?

i prefer oscar, but think hazard is more what we need as we don't need another number 10!

but im pretty sure we wont get either

Neither, I prefer Mata to both and we don't want to be spending upwards of 25m on the forward positions that we could be putting in the central midfielder pot.

I think it would be madness to pass up the opportunity of Hazard.
Oscar, no thanks though.

Where would Hazard go. Real don't need him, Barca don't really need him. Bayern...Would he fit what Pep wants. City, Maybe. PSG seems the obvious choice, but it's such a crap league

PSG are the clear favourites, but would he really want to move there, when Chelsea are a superior team with a superior manager in a superior league?

Hazard, I'd take Oscar too if it came to it but I just have a soft spot for players who can use skill effectively, even if he did turn us down for Chelsea.

are they though?
with the ffp situation as it is could they afford him - because chelsea wont be letting him go unless there is a lot of cash up front
If they can't we'll take Moura off their hands as a favour to help them get Hazard :D

veratti and rabiot would be nice as well - strangely though we seem to be linked to cavani instead?????????
Woodward just seems desperate to spunk £60m on someone as a "marquee signing". Veratti would be brilliant and I like Rabiot, he's impressed me when he's played, his hair gives him some bonus points too.

Maybe it's just me but I don't rate Oscar all that highly. I'd take Hazard ahead of him every day of the week. In the real world though, neither will happen.

He's in a bad dip of form at the moment, he's definitely a talented player. And don't be too certain, there have been whispers about selling the two of them to fund their Summer signings and still stay within the FFP line, not sure if there's any truth in it but no smoke without fire and all that.

I know he's in bad form but even when he was in good form I never rated him that highly. Not sure what it is, talented player but I think his peak will end up being short of world class.

Jose has no balls to sell Hazard this summer. There no much quality wingers Chelsea can sign at the moment. I'll take Hazard if he's available. We need one more winger. Our best wingers are Welbeck (not natural winger though) and the young boy Januzaj. Right now there are no many available proven quality wingers we can sign. Oscar? No thanks too many number 10 role. It'll just be a waste of money. Even Lawrence can play as a number 10 role as well.

Draxler still hasn't taken the step to a top club yet so he is available. Bar that there are no true wingers available like you say so I'd happily go for Hazard if he was available and if he isn't Draxler should be high up the list.

There is also the riskier option of turning a player like Firmino who has played well out wide on both sides and as a forward, but who currently is playing primarily as a number 10 - and turn him in to a wide option for us. There are a couple of number 10's who has a lot of experience/competence out wide as well but who is the team star so they want them involved as much as possible like Bale playing a number 10 role for Spurs.

Don't you think Draxler is a bit more number 10 role? I would like to see more natural winger though. Not many proven quality wingers are available at the moment.

Bale is "natural winger" who can also play in the middle since he can bring the ball from the back to forward with pace and dribble. Similar role like last season why Sir Alex used Welbeck against Madrid in the middle.

Hypothetically speaking.. How much would Hazard cost if available.. About 50m ? If so then we should go all out. Not saying that Chelsea would sell to us. But you never know, stranger things have happened in football. Even 60m or thereabouts for one of the Top 3 young players around would be excellent value for money and fix our attacking options for the long term.

Hazard + Januzaj + Mata.

Yeah and Draxler's a good shout too. But he seems really conceited and hasn't developed as projected earlier on in his career. I see him reaching Reus level max, maybe even lower if he can't keep up his fitness. If we were to sign someone from Schalke I'd prefer Leon Goretzka or Max Meyer who's around Gotze level in terms of pure talent. Both are more gifted than Draxler imo, though in sort of different positions. Wouldn't really solve our winger conundrum the two of them.

Mourinho would sell most of Chelsea's squad before either of those two. They're both in his best XI, the heart of his attack.

He almost never plays as a number 10? His main position is on the left and he isn't one of those who constantly cuts in. He has one of the most amount of successful dribbles per game in Europe and he is perfectly comfortable going outside the defender. Which is what we are looking for, that is so rare right now.

He is less of a number 10 than Januzaj, has better dribbling and pace but not the mature playmaking/passing that Januzaj has.

I consider Januzaj and Draxler the best winger talents in the world in their age group(19-21) like Hazard and Neymar are the best in their age group of 22-24. Draxler is probably going to be targeted by Bayern soon though as Ribery and Robben are getting old and when they enter the race we are gone, which is why I would like to make a huge bid as early as possible before the ship sails.

Edit: Found a video which shows how he plays and what he is capable of.

Draxler is about as much of a natural winger as Hazard is.

Value on such players is so hard to predict, I can see Barcelona going all out to sign him for example for whatever it cost them to build a Neymar-Messi-Hazard trio. Basically whatever team signed him would suddenly look near unbeatable.

I think I watched about 3 compilations in YouTube. I can't remember what matches. But 2 of them he played as a number 10 role. He got assists in those games if I remember. Well, if he's a winger. Good then we found an available winger right now.

He's played 34 games in the league CL this season and just 4 centrally so you must have been very unlucky!

I love how people are actually talking seriously about this.

There is zero chance that Chelsea would sell Hazard to us, especially after selling Mata. If, somehow, he does come on the market they would probably accept an offer from any other team in the world bar one of the top english teams.

All of your points could be retorted with the case of Mata. Depends where Hazard wants to go I guess?

Mata was a unique situation. He wasn't wanted by the manager (and it was the 'Special One' too) and he also wanted to leave to get more time. Neither apply to either of these players

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think Oscar is massively overrated, especially on here. I have always said it.

Don't get me wrong, he is a talented player and has a huge future ahead of him. But right now, I just don't rate him too highly. I have watched plenty of games that he has been absolutely anonymous in. Mata is flights ahead of him, IMO. Just another Mourinho favourite? Or did Jose make the right call on this one?

Mourinho jokingly said about Hazard and Oscar when they were linked with PSG last month that if they bid 300m for the pair he'd "have to think about it," or something like that.

In other words, it would take silly money to buy either. I think if tomorrow Hazard were up for sale they'd probably ask for north of £60m easily. More than what Falcao and Cavani went for.
