I'm very quickly reaching this point. I just want a quick end to the nightmare now.
If only anything was guaranteed. What's your point? That we should keep Ole because a better manager might not succeed immediately? If only all that was guaranteed.
They're rich now and still don't go to games!Do you think City fans in the 40 years before they were rich went to games wanting to lose?
A bit of a contradiction there? So you actually don't mind if we keep losing because of your personal agenda of weeding those you don't feel worthy to follow a football club.
Absolutely. I don't follow this club because of glory. It's in my blood and family's blood. I'm from the area and would still go to watch the boys in league 2.
How many on this forum would be Utd fans if we were in the second division around the times we were all kids? I'm betting less than half easily.
Obviously going to see winning football is better. You'd be a fool to say otherwise. But If you offered me another 3 trophyless years but it would weed out most of the cry babies I don't think it would be such a bad deal tbh.
So sick of the entitlement brigade. We've only really had two to three truly successful managers in our entire history. We've had a few others who have done okay. That's football.
So you want your beloved club trophyless or even relegated so your time online contains fewer non-pure fans?Absolutely. I don't follow this club because of glory. It's in my blood and family's blood. I'm from the area and would still go to watch the boys in league 2.

In that case no club should ever sack their manager, or replace poor players, because that'd make them entitled for wanting to improve and win trophies. Everyone should just sit back and suck it up because then we'd all be perfect supporters like yourself.Absolutely. I don't follow this club because of glory. It's in my blood and family's blood. In a few years time I'll look back and still think he's been easily the worst manager ive ever seen manage a top team. You’re entitled to your opinion but I think you’re taking too much away from him overall due to recent events.
How many times have we scored 4+ goals under Solskjaer compared to Moyes, LvG and Mourinho combined?
We are too close to the picture now but if he left today and we looked back on his reign as a full picture in a few years time, I think he has brought us some of our best performances post-Fergie. I’m absolutely gutted he didn’t win the Europa League at the end of last season to gloss it.
I don’t think anyone in their right mind that actually goes to the games wakes up and goes I hope we lose today.
United will win when they can. If Ole loses his dressing room, the players obviously won't play so hard. You just need about 5 players who won't play as hard and the team won't do well.
But then again, it is Watford (sitting on position 17th) we are talking about so United can and should win easily.
He should have already been sacked. What is this if he doesn't win the next game nonsense all the time. 4 points from 18. Jesus christ lad where are your standardsYes, honestly if we do not beat Watford(sitting in 17th) he should be sacked as soon as the full time whistle is blown.
At this point you’re just a parody of yourself.Absolutely. I don't follow this club because of glory. It's in my blood and family's blood. I'm from the area and would still go to watch the boys in league 2.

I would happily take a few years of us in the wilderness if it coerces the parasites to sell up and feck off. It would be the best thing to happen to us in the long run.I saw a tweet mentioning the fact Joel Glazer hasn't pulled the trigger because we're still in the champions league and are close to top 4.
Wanting us to lose has never crossed my mind before, and I can understand the thought process, and my question for those of you who are wanting us to lose to get rid of Ole (I'm probably not that far off) - would you go one step further and want us not to be in the fight for top four, aka languish in mid table for a few years so the cash cow that is United, becomes unprofitable for the Glazers so they have no choice but to sell up at a massively reduced price?
That would be the only way, logically speaking that the United we all knew and loved has any hope of becoming back.

I should probably add - just because I'd take a few seasons of us being shite for a chance at the Glazers fecking off, doesn't mean I'll be actively hoping we lose every game just to make that a realityI'm wondering if those who don't want to lose is solely down to Ole being the manager - I love Ole (the player) as much as the next United fan, can't help but feel its clouding people's judgement.
If the question was wanting to lose to get rid of the Glazers, I'm sure most wouldn't have to worry about the blind loyalty for Ole.

As for Ole receiving special treatment from the fans - tbh the matchgoing fans for right or wrong always tend to back the manager. They were still singing Van Gaal's and Mourinho's name late into their respective tenures too.
A loss to a 17th place relegation fodder team would surely tip the balance. It would be a clear confirmation that the manager has lost the dressing room. Wonder why anyone would think otherwise.I don't know why anyone thinks losing to Watford will tip the balance? So what, win that game and everything is fine, and thoughts of sacking are put to the side?
Or perhaps a carryover to the next set of 3 games?
Makes no sense to me.
So, in other words, you'd be ok with United losing for the perceived greater good?Obviously going to see winning football is better. You'd be a fool to say otherwise. But If you offered me another 3 trophyless years but it would weed out most of the cry babies I don't think it would be such a bad deal tbh.

Why would it? What's worse: being utterly humiliated by your two biggest rivals, or losing a game of football to a lowly ranked PL team?A loss to a 17th place relegation fodder team would surely tip the balance. It would be a clear confirmation that the manager has lost the dressing room. Wonder why anyone would think otherwise.
Ha!So, in other words, you'd be ok with United losing for the perceived greater good?
