Good, he can force his way into the first team thenPau Torres isn’t coming here to be a bench option.

You forget Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe and even Mengi - say what you will but I'd rather have a trained defender as cover than McT.Need to sell in 9 days if we can. Can McTominey play centre back if we ever need cover?
Varane, Martinez, Lindelof, Then as cover McTominey.
This would make a lot of sense. Leicester fans should have fond memories of Maguire doing well for them so would probably welcome him back with open arms. If Fofana goes they need a replacement and with limited time left in the window they might just go for Harry, at least if personal terms can be sorted out.
I think we should only sell if a big offer comes in for him. I don't think we're in a position to be selling him to Chelsea at a bargain price. Bailly has gone, Tuanzebe isn't good enough and Lindelof and Varane have had injury problems over the past year or so. Maguire is never injured and while I don't think he suits ETH style of play, he's a decent option to have and I doubt he will be causing disruption in the dressing room.
Anything under £40m and I wouldn't both shifting him this summer.

Didn't know that but still think we could do with a core of 4 CBsMaguire missed more games through injury last season than Lindelof
If the right offer comes in I agree but don't think we need to force him out, not this summer anyway. I think next summer may be the ideal time to sell him, possibly even in January if he has a good world cup.Maguire has been outright terrible every time he's been on. His injury-free record doesn't help if he plays bad. If an opportunity comes, we should sell him. I don't really see how he can fit into a team build that wants to compete for the title eventually.
Interesting ideaMaybe Leicester would take him back if they sell Fofana?

If he doesn't suit ETH style of play (and he absolutely doesn't), then he's not a "decent option" to have? We don't need numbers, we need the right players, as last night showed.while don't think suits ETH style of play, decent option to have and I doubt causing disruption in the dressing room.

If he fears losing out on the WC? Perhaps, wouldn't blame him og I hope he does.Would he go back there? I somehow doubt it.

Expectations can do that. Also his mistakes are simply silly. Holding on too long, failure to close down channels. The man became a parody of himself. On any other times, we can help him to pick it up. But its been a decade since we challenge and teams are catching up. There is no time for charity. Just ruthless axing. Worked for other big clubs. Cut your losses and move on. Only here we hold onto failing managers, players and CEOs. Tis but a malaiseHe’s had an excellent career literally everywhere except here. We’re an absolute player-graveyard….don’t be at all surprised if he goes elsewhere and excels again
Having Phil Jones as one of the four would effectively mean we have 3 CBsI’d sell Maguire and keep Phil Jones as one of the four if it comes to that.
With a congested season and competing in the Europa I think the 4th CB may get enough opportunities. If we have a couple of injuries at the back, I'd be worried about having Tuanzebe or Menngi in the mix. I don't rate Maguire but don't think he's as bad as some have made out and nor do I think we should just sell him for whatever offer comes in.Yeah but the 4th CB is usually a younger player who won't get a lot of gametime. I really don't mind having Tuanzebe / Mengi as the 4th CB.

If Chelsea get desperate it's another story but we could get a decent fee for Maguire if we time it right.
He will prob start next week. Don't know why people jump to these insane conclusions.Ten Hag’s comments about needing agility and mobility in the back 4 pretty much spells the end for both Maguire and Shaw. If we can get a right back in, Dalot can be back up for both places.
I could see it, returning 'home' to save them ect. But no idea, and don't really care - just want someone to buy him.And join a team in free fall? And that after having been linked to Chelsea (and, more frivolously, Barcelona).

Fans also think we should sell him and keep mctominay and centre defence cover. Ten hag and prior managers / England manager see him every day and can judge better than random fans. He will be part of the team. That would be madness. Varane and Martinez should be guaranteed starters next match.

What happened to Tuanzebe? He left the Aus tour for personal reasons and not been heard of since? I assumed he left the tour to negotiate a move. You forget Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe and even Mengi - say what you will but I'd rather have a trained defender as cover than McT.

Excellent question yeah. Got lost on the way back? Haven't seen any news regarding him. What happened to Tuanzebe? He left the Aus tour for personal reasons and not been heard of since? I assumed he left the tour to negotiate a move.
Couple that with "most of our goals last season came down the left side"Ten Hag’s comments about needing agility and mobility in the back 4 pretty much spells the end for both Maguire and Shaw. If we can get a right back in, Dalot can be back up for both places.
