Oliver Holt has thrown his shit hat in the ring:
I think my favourite detail in this whole saga is the repeated need to clarify that she was stabbed “with a sharp object”. Is it even possible to stab someone with a blunt object?
If he had a sister it would be more likely she would have to protect him than the other way round.I would like to see an headline saying Oliver holt had been assaulted in a bar sanctimonious c**t
The sharp object definitely wasn't their brains. My guess is that its been put out as a bit of positive spin for Harry, to try and justify his actions. No doubt it will come out that it wasnt a knife, hence the "sharp object" line. The narrative definitely shifted a bit when that came out from "idiot" to "fair play for defending his sister".

I keep asking what happened with the others involved or were they just too intent on arresting Harry?
Weirdo.
Or, maybe the police are saying that to reinforce their position?I find it quite ironic this thread is full of people arguing Greek police are extremely corrupt, yet one of the charges is attempted bribery. So corrupt they deny a bribe, eh?
A lot of speculation also going on about what happened, didn’t happen. All you have to go on at the moment are the charges, and if they are even somewhat true is it a complete shit show for any top player at any top club, never mind the world record defender and club captain at Manchester United.
I highly doubt it will go any further due to who he is and the money and reputation involved (go figure the world is unbalanced and feked), but the very fact these charges were presented is a huge concern, particularly the more serious ones.
Oh how terrible that a rich man doesn’t live an extremely rich And exclusive lifestyle. Maybe it’s nicer that he had a more normal holiday with friends. Just because he has money doesn’t mean he has to change what he enjoys.Think about Holt what you will but these have been my first thoughts.
You see other sport greats like Messi, Ronaldo, Nadal etc. jumping from their yachts or sitting in exclusive villas on some islands that normal people cannot afford. They have enough money to bring all their family, friends and wannabe-friends there as well.
I don’t know Mykonos, but my preferred Greek island to go to is Zakynthos and from what I read those 2 are similar by having certain areas crowded by British party tourists. Thinking that one of the most famous sport stars of the UK would run around at Laganas sounds just strange and stupid. Yeah I can somehow see that it might be very cool to get some pats on the shoulder and all the girls you got with you are deeply impressed. But trouble is just waiting to happen.
May I ask why? He is on a break he can do what the feck he wants. My employer doesn't give a shit what I do on my vacation just as long as I show up back for work on time..If the club gave him permission to go there and all the others that are on Greek Island, then the club have to take some of the blame. If they had said no I am sure he would have gone somewhere else.
Oliver Holt has always a pontificating twerp.
I would be more worried about Covid and crowded bars than what actually did happen, I was a bit surprised. Not that he would be targeted than what happened later. Think he will have been shocked by the abuse as probably not happened to him before when on holiday.May I ask why? He is on a break he can do what the feck he wants. Like the cops knew he was the great Harry Maguire.. he's not Ronaldo ffs nobody would recognise him he was just another drunk brit in a fight.Or, maybe the police are saying that to reinforce their position?
Corruption isn't just bribery. A premier league footballer is quite a collar for a Greek copper, not to mention the English captain of Manchester United.
It's not exactly unrealistic for police to embellish things in order to get a result, it happens often enough in England never mind anywhere else.

I agree, the club probably had prepared the players for some Covid guidelines and hoped players would follow but again when they have time off they can do what they want. You can bet your bottom dollar on the club is not happy with this at all and he will be reminded that he plays for Utd not Leicester and things are different but when they leave they are pretty much free to do what they want. As the news are coming out it seems that he really didn't do much wrong here and he will definitely learn from this, playing for Utd is something completely different to Hull and Leicester that's for sure..I would be more worried about Covid and crowded bars than what actually did happen, I was a bit surprised. Agreed.I would like to see an headline saying Oliver holt had been assaulted in a bar sanctimonious c**t
The club can advise, it can not instruct. It's a nothing story. The only thing that bothers me just a little is that he, Rashford and others were vacationing overseas 3 weeks before the season starts (not sure when you start your preseason but I guess at least 2 weeks before that), knowing the country you're in could get added to the banlist and find yourself in a Kane situation. The club should have advised the players not to leave the country given the pandemic and the season about to start. Other than that there's nothing to see here.
Unfortunately, I don’t like to speak in hyperbole.Well that's it then, they've proven themselves to be incorruptible and permanently reversed the image of the Greek authorities through this one incident.
I think you'll probably find the entire squad has gone abroad somewhere during this break. Players even went abroad during the break between the PL and EL.It's a nothing story. So what would you call it if someone makes a stabbing motion with a blunt object? Say I'm trying to 'stab' you with a spoon, how'd you call that? (Apart from stupid or pointless - haha.)I think my favourite detail in this whole saga is the repeated need to clarify that she was stabbed “with a sharp object”. Stabbed with a spoony object. So what would you call it if someone makes a stabbing motion with a blunt object? Say I'm trying to 'stab' you with a spoon, how'd you call that? (Apart from stupid or pointless - haha.)
Serious question actually, curious about this now.
Why the feck is he going to a crowded island in Greece during a pandemic is my question? Dosen’t the club have any sort of restrictions where the players can go on vacation in covid times?
I see Bruno is with his fiancé and children on a quiet place in Portugal. Seems a bit more mature to me.
The new season starts in three weeks feck sake!
Even if his sister gets stabbed in the arm, he's silly to get into a brawl in a foreign country. All he had to do was make sure his sister was safe by breaking up whatever was happening with her and then they could all leave together. Its completely understandable to get upset and angry, its not to completely forget your responsibilities and act like a lout.
The club can advise, it can not instruct.
Given the reputation he’s gained as ‘our captain’ you’d have expected a better example to be set.
It’s a nothing story to an extent but given the wage he’s on; he could have rented a villa in the hills somewhere & given the general public a miss.

Not sure why the club would advise everyone to stay in the UK. It wouldn't be good for morale and more often than not, they should be able to come back quickly if the country is added to the 14 day quarantine list.
Harry has a small child.Greece is actually doing pretty well with the pandemic and have been a "safe to travel" destination this summer. The club obviously know this and of course the approved the travel plans. In fact: Greece has been doing better than say.. The UK.
Besides, it IS possible to keep to social distancing and general hygiene advice in Greece, it IS bigger than 50 square metres and you dont have to rub noses with people to go to the bathroom.
Bruno goes to a family friendly quiet location becuause he has a small child. How very, very surprising?

Well no, but you usually find the Portuguese will go back home as quite often the Spanish will as well. The weather here has now gone to pot as usual, so cannot blame them wanting a bit of sun. Also other countries seem to be dealing with Covid better than us. Unfortunately cannot be dealt with is drunken d*ckheads from the UK who seem to materialise no matter which country you go to.I presume the child was not with him at a bar?

Of all the places in the world he goes to a Greek island full of nob heads.
He's 1 year older than me. I thought we all have been through that phase of party islands by 25 maybe?
Judd Trump is embarrassing aswell. He's 31. His Instagram reminds me of myself 10 years ago.
These guys need to grow up if you ask me. Then again we are all different. If i was in Maguires position financially I would be headed somewhere in europe that is a hidden gem with much more to do than clubbing.
Take how you like pal. Whatever suits your agenda.Like the cops knew he was the great Harry Maguire.. he's not Ronaldo ffs nobody would recognise him he was just another drunk brit in a fight.
So he was obviously buying everybody there a drink, what a great lad! proper captain. The Mirror reporting his bar bill was £63,000 it’s any wonder shit kicked off..

Drinking Champagne and eating lobster, but at 63k you’d expect them to be proper pissed..So he was obviously buying everybody there a drink, what a great lad! proper captain.
