I thought he looked pretty decent. 7/10.
I’ve learned to not listen to post interview matches after a bad result. You’re just going to hear a common few sentences. “ We were the better team , we were unlucky. Insert team are a decent side at home “ it’s not really worth listening to.His post match interviews were almost as bad as the game. Can't stand the fact he is our Captain, hopefully our next manager will have other ideas.

Unlucky not to win it at the end. He's giving everything he's got as opposed to some others in these team that get a far less rough ride from our fans.
Losing a duel doesn't mean you're not trying.Do you really believe he's giving everything when players are getting past him for goalscoring chances like Diagne did? He did some of the extras, with dribbles down the left and a late header that was saved. But when it came to actually defending I dont see how he's giving everything when he was beaten

Personally wouldn't class it a duel the ball was overrun in terms of the pace Diagne shouldn't have gained possession. I couldn't care less if Maguire tries or not because it doesn't erase the reality that he's a big mistake per game defender.Losing a duel doesn't mean you're not trying.
Agreed. “Oh it’s always hard to come here”. Can we please stop making excuses like this against cannon fodder? They’re second bottom for a good reason. We’re Manchester United, it’s ok to just hold your hands up and say we weren’t good enough today. His post match interviews were almost as bad as the game. I'll say it loudly.I've never really taken to him, he's just kind of there. He's pretty average, I struggle to see all these alleged leadership qualities and we got absolutely rinsed by Leicester. He would have been squad level material at best under Fergie. Whisper this quietly too, but if he wasn't English, he wouldn't be rated near as highly as he is.
No idea why he keeps going to ground looking for a foul when there’s no need. Just as was the case against Everton he was in complete control of the situation. By going down and looking for the foul he was giving up that control and leaving it up to the officials to make the decision. It’s irrelevant whether it’s a foul or not. He should just deal with it.
When did Diagne get past him? I remember one occasion where Diagne fouled him and had an effort on goal which would have obviously been ruled out had he scored. However, you can’t be referring to that surely, as that would so obviously be entirely agenda driven?Do you really believe he's giving everything when players are getting past him for goalscoring chances like Diagne did? Last match was dive but now it looked more like he was thrown to the ground. No idea why he keeps going to ground looking for a foul when there’s no need. But he's the most expensive defender on the planet! We broke the world record for him..I'll say it loudly.
Harry Maguire is the definition of both being overrated horrendously and underrated. But not in the same proportions.
He did well, ok in a number of games, exceptional in a few too but:
"He's the best CB we have," is not good enough if we want to challenge for top tier consistently.
Either he improves or we find a way to win convincingly despite his presence or we win by mitigating his deficiencies.
The entire team looks vulnerable to all manner of regular counters whenever we play.
He cannot deal quickly enough in high pressure situations at the highest level consistently enough. He is human, he is trying hard, he does his best and he is a very able and good centre back.
He just doesn't suit us and it's glaring after 2 seasons.
They say CBs mature later, but in the modern game, when your pace goes you rely on nous and reading the game (see Ramos, Thiago Silva, Rio, Vidic, even Terry et al.
"but but but but muh agenda"
Listen, he has improved in passing quicker, more between the lines and moving forwards. Good.
But what is the point if defensively he's fumbling around like the Heavy Tank on F-Zero 64?
And we're forced to play with a double-edge high backline when attacking because we can't hold onto a lead or prevent oppo teams dominating counters?
He isn't bad. He just isn't top-tier.
And sadly I don't think he can reach that.
I am more than happy to be proved wrong; but as a team and as an individual, we are accommodating him and I feel it's costing us more than it helps us.

Refs are presumably instructed to play on and let the play conclude if there is a goalscoring chance. Maguire confirmed that the ref said it would have been disallowed. Why wouldnt it be given as a foul if it was going to be given as a foul?

They've had 1 game between today and Feb 3. It was a 2:0 loss against Spurs and Spurs had created exactly 10 moments.Yes but what about Feb 3 and onwards?! Selective sample much?
Which is my point.....Absolute rubbish, city would steam role WBA because they have a world class manager and are a very cohesive team. Laporte is definitively better than Maguire and Dias has made more of an impact having considerably less time in England. The reality is if Maguire goes to city he's coming off the bench.
We are one of the highest scorers in the league, the issue is not with the attack outright it's that we cannot guarantee a lead with such a poor defensive line. You cannot save with a hole in your pocket and sooner or later either Maguire is partnered with a better defender or he's rotated.
We've had multiple cases this season where an obvious foul wasn't called even after the goal was scored. Including today. You just can't bet on that.Refs are presumably instructed to play on and let the play conclude if there is a goalscoring chance. Maguire confirmed that the ref said it would have been disallowed.
I am ole out but I don't think that our manager is that stupid. Irrespective of that he doesn't come across as a person who micromanage his players.

People question his leadership but who was the player driving forward with the ball constantly, taking risks, trying to make something happen? Who almost won it at the end with a towering header?
I don’t think you can fault his will to win. I wish Rashford and Martial would show similar endeavour
You've taken this loss pretty hard huh? He was fouled for the one time where the striker got past him.
And more influential in midfield than Fred and McTominay. He was driving us forward and one of the few to show urgency. How people can blame him for today is beyond me.Why did it take so long for him to get in the box when we were chasing the game?
He was a better winger than Martial today.
You've taken this draw insanely hard huh? So much so you think we lost and a foul was given when it wasnt.
