I'm sorry, but this just isn't true. Kepa is regularly called one of the worst GKs in the league. He has conceded more goals than xG suggests he should, and he has one of the worst save percentages in the top 7 leagues. He's (rightfully) criticized much more than Maguire, let alone "any of Manutd signings".
I wish my head was as big as his... Might hurt less from having to watch him play.
Macguire's lack of speed and quickness is quite alarming.

Why would anyone be surprised? The myth of him being a great defender(or even a very good one) has never really been backed up by performances. Runs forward with the ball and winning a few headers might make a nice MOTD highlight reel but they sure don't mean you are a top CB. Unfortunately Utd bought into the hype.
The best decisions Woodwards ever taken at this club, when he's actually told the managers to feck off. But then he's at fault for not 'backing them'. No win-situation.

If our scouts just look at a highlights reel of Leicester city last season they would have concluded he wasnt worth anything close to 80mil.
But really; in what area he is good( for Man Utd first team defender)?

Never rated him really. Overhyped after the World Cup and Utd were drawn in hook, line and sinker.

He is a bit slow but so were Vidic and Bruce. I'm not making excuses for him but seriously guys his position is the last that should be currently questioned and that, after today, includes De Gea.
He's been disappointing this season for me. Never worth 80m.

Vidic had much quicker reactions than Maguire, he wasn't lighting but he had a mobility that Maguire lacks. Steve Bruce would struggle in the PL of today, a warrior against the long ball football of the day, ridiculously brave, great leader, but even at his peak he was slow and that kept him out of international football.
Mustafi got one assist with his great passing! Maguire hasn't done anything for us all yet.
That is what a proper ball playing attacking defender does!
Said he was a carthorse some time ago and I'm sticking with it. Slow, bumbling, shambles at 26. If he's still here at 30 I dread to think. At the very least he should be clearing the occasional corner or freekick but not even that. Amazing what you can get for 80 million these days.
