Was last season an Aaron Ramseyesque prolonged, purple patch of form? It's starting to seem that way.
A very, very good player undeniably with further scope for improvement, but by no means a world-beater. It wouldn't surprise me if last season is the best season he ever has, though time will tell. He's certainly set the bar high in fairness.
Just to clarify, I do rate him and I highly doubt he will be a one-season wonder, but we were absolutely right not to move for him this season. Carries far too much risk. I don't think his overall game has been poor though, he's created some good chances and demonstrated some decent hold-up play. Just see him struggling quite a bit with the special attention defenders will pay to him now.
Signing Son should aid him a great deal. Someone to deflect attention away from Kane and pose another threat to defenders - giving Kane more space to operate in the process. Can only benefit him.
