From a long term perspective, I would love United to sign Haaland now, especially as Chelsea have officially now had a bid turned down.
If City go for Kane, fine, I just don't see the value in him say after 2 seasons if he can stay fit.
City have struggled a lot with injuries, I think Kane would add to that jinx, although Pep still finds a way to mostly win.
At least with Haaland, United could in theory enjoy his steady success and improvement for 5 to 6 years recoup the fee paid via marketing and sponsorship deals and then possibly flog him elsewhere if he wants to leave.
It's a great move from a business point of view, but potentially letting Chelsea have free run at him and possibly 5 to 6 years of his quality, a huge mistake.
