I doubt it, Conte isn't going to come if they can't spend any money and he's really their only way of raising serious funds.So... with Conte going to Spurs, I would say he stays there.

Conte isn't going to make Spurs in to contenders for the title. If City want Kane then he needs to do whatever it takes to get out of Spurs because this could be his last chance.
it certainly doesn’t paint a picture of being able to spend big.
I don’t think Conte and Spurs are a good match. However, a manager is not in a position to demand £xxx to be spent. I don’t see this as a deal breaker at all, the issues he’s seemingly had ate when the club have changed their prioritieand have said players need to be sold - I.e inter.
he’s not an idiot, and will realise in a post COVID world, most clubs will struggle to spend big money.
conte to spurs doesn’t mean they will be sounding £200m this summer. Let’s have a dose of realism. If he’s as good as he thinks he is, then he will need to extract more from the current squad.
I don't think we are going to spend massive amounts of money either, my point was more Kane isn't our only hope of cash.
Having said that I don't believe Conte will sign for us without the promise of investment, why would he with his CV. Our team is vastly under performing IMO, with Conte's use of wing backs it certainly fits with the personnel we have, its much easier/cheaper to fix a shoddy defence than an impotent attack (which he don't have IF Kane stays).
there aren’t any other vacancies about and he’s going to be paid £20m a year. Yes he’s got a good CV, but he has very few options. Those clubs that can spend big amounts of money have either a new manager, or one that’s not under pressure.
Yeah, but are you saying he doesn't care and is just taking a job to have a job?
no, I’m not saying that. But, there are not many jobs that are better than the spurs job, maybe a dozen - and even at these clubs, many can’t afford to be spending massive amounts of money.
its the notion that he can demand big money will be spent. Fine 2 years ago. Not now. If he does, he won’t get a job.
going to spurs should be more than motivating enough for him.
I still have no clue what is happening, if its Conte why isn't it announced, I have a feeling Levy is waiting on Poch.
I don't think that will be his goal, it will be an attempt to get back to top 4 and win something.
I'm not sure you read that properly if you're telling me that's an indication you can spend any money. They've just raised money to cover the debt you have. Where is the actual cash for investment? You can't use any of the CCFF loan for that, so you'd have to get more credit.
That's not good enough for Kane though, or at least it shoudn't be.

Yeah, I get that, but that doesn't mean you can spend if you can't pay it back. You've still not sold the naming rights and the match day revenue isn't there. Realistically, if you are going to bring in Conte and he wants to buy players, you'd going to have a sell 1 big asset or strip your squad to the bare bones. That's also not taking into account the fact you want to give Son a new big contract.NO but turning short term debt into long term debt (which most of ours is) is more beneficial, There will be investment, how much will be up to Levy and Joe Lewis.
Dont think thats happened before. Top goalscorer and top assists provider in the same season.
Fun one for the stats guys — Kane had an xA of 3.6 this season. He ended the season on 14 assists!
I look forward to him and conte falling out and kane also being available at half price100% he's at spurs next year like Haaland is at Dortmund.
Aint nobody paying 150 million for kane and nobody will jump this year at Haaland while he has a buyout clause next year for half if not 2/3 price of what they'd ask for this season.
Potential thread there — no.9’s with (relatively) high assist tallies? Benzema comes to mind. It's because Son scores a lot of long range goals with low xG. It also tells you why he's never done those assist numbers before and why he's unlikely to repeat them in future.

If Conte gets confirmed as manager I'd be 90% sure that means Kane is staying for at least another season.
Why would the two things be linked? Kane wants to win the league. Does Conte give Spurs a genuine chance at that?If Conte gets confirmed as manager I'd be 90% sure that means Kane is staying for at least another season.

Hadn’t thought of it from the point of view. Fair enoughI dont think Conte would agree to come to Spurs if he thought Kane was going to be sold. Just my own opinion.
He may have been promised all the money plus another 50m or something. Think how many Darmians he could sign with that!?I dont think Conte would agree to come to Spurs if he thought Kane was going to be sold. Just my own opinion.

That's up too Kane, not much I can do about that.
He will stay if nobody meets Levy's valuation - until next summer anyway then he will 100% leave because he will only have 2 years left on the contract.
If he stays another year it gives us a better shot right? Cavani will be moving on, we’ve probably got other targets this summer and won’t be able to afford them all in one window.
Maybe also give us a chance to put together a really strong season and convince him that if he comes we can be one of the best sides in Europe.
