Harry Kane | "I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success."

Sell martial, keep Cavani and go all out for kane. Best attack in league.

kane, Cavani, rashford, Greenwood, Bruno.

I can't explain why but i can't help feeling he's not right for us. Great player undoubtedly, but i think his mentality is well suited to being a big fish in a small pond. Just scoring goals is not a problem for us, we need somebody who will shoulder the pressure of being expected to win and i don't think he's that guy. He's not on the level of the great PL strikers who inspire teams to league titles.

I'd sell Martial and Pogba in a heartbeat to fund Kane. He is what we need, striker position solved for 10 years possibly with Rashford and Greenwood around. Very good striker and likeable character.
Selling one of our best players and a world class performer in Pogba ‘ in a heartbeat’ sums up the transfer thread in a nutshell.
There are 3 players I’d rather see go to fund a bid, one of them is tearing it up at West Ham, Martial is talented but too inconsistent, Matic too slow but would benefit a mid table side plus would be guaranteed games, and reluctantly James; an honest performer but he might benefit another PL side more and get games regularly

Is that serious? Kane is absolute competitor and has shown no fear whomever Spurs play. An internationally player of quality.
He was brilliant under Poch who played to his strengths. Even under a negative coach like Jose he’s scored loads. To suggest he’s not on the level of great PL strikers is baffling

Kane would win us the league

This! It’s like someone who once told me that Shearer wasn’t what we needed when he was at Blackburn. I came back that he would have won us the Champions League as we were just missing that something extra

Kane would smash it for anyone in England, you could argue he may not adapt to moving overseas but even then it’s guesswork.

Unfortunately he’s sort of made his bed with his latest contract, Levy won’t let him go for anything less than silly money.

Cavani was better than him today. Not saying he’s the better player but he was free. One more year of Cavani while Kanes contract runs down might not be the worst outcome if City don’t move for him or he wont hand in a transfer request. Levy will want the sun moon and stars for Kane this summer. I think Sancho would be a better signing if Cavani stays. Look at the difference Pogba made drifting out on the wing today with creativity and passing combinations. We need that in every game, a few early crosses too.
Would definitely prefer Sancho.

He's 2nd only to Lewandowski in terms of goals and assists this season; if that isn't on the top level then what is?!

Kane would probably win us the league as we are today. However, players like Cavani & Pogba are a massive doubt to be here next year.

It's nothing to do with ability. It's mentality. How many top players came to us and other big teams over the years and shrunk under the pressure? It's not exactly uncommon. The fact he's going to be 28 soon and never seriously looked at leaving Spurs suggests he doesn't have the hunger for trophies and success that drives the very best.

I've never seen him have that aggression and desire to win that drove all the best players like Rooney, Ronaldo, Aguero, Henry and so on.

Hes pushing to leave the club now because of their lack of ambition. He also said himself he wants to be on the levels of the best in the world, this is his own words from the Prime documentary.

That shows more towards where his mind is compared to signing a new deal with spurs 2 years ago.

Sheringham 2.0, mate! He's going to come here, win everything, hold 3 fingers up away to Arsenal after another treble, go back to Spurs, and finally be subbed off against us at Old Trafford and go to sit on our bench instead of Spurs'.

He needs to leave Spurs, he needs to force the move because what an absolute waste of a career If he ends up staying at Spurs when he could play for any of the top clubs in the World. If he did become available, I would hope that United would break the bank for him. He could be the difference between beating City for the league next season, similar to RVP.

If he wants to win things then as much as it hurts to say - why sign for United? City, PSG, Real, Barca, Bayern would be his focus. If not Juve or the Scousers but they couldnt afford him. Maybe he will risk it for the biscuit and sign for us because none of the other clubs want or can afford him. But I doubt it

I'm one not usually brought into hyperbole but Kane genuinely can be the game changer in making us seriously compete for the title.
Wont happen though.

Really think this would be a signing that could take us to the next level.

Just imagine:

Rashford Kane Greenwood
———-Pogba——Bruno
——————?????
Shaw-Maguire-Lindelof-AWB
————Henderson

That front 5 would be incredible. Obviously Ole would employ a double pivot at times but I think yesterday we saw again the attacking potential we have when Pogba and Bruno can both join the attack.

I wonder if tactically we can evolve so that Shaw tucks in at times into a DM area. He has the attributes to do that well but we also wouldn’t want to completely lose his attacking play down the left.

Kane should fire his agent if they failed to include a clause in his deal that allows an out and ability to leave if Spurs fail to qualify for champions league.

He’d be great here, and as many said would take us to the next level and make us serious title contenders for the first time in almost a decade

Problem is I don’t want us funding a Spurs rebuild when it’s clear that Mourinho will keep wasting Kane anyway

And I can’t see any team touching the asking price, unless PSG (Poch) take an interest

Thats a weird reason not want the deal to happen to me personally, why does that matter? I'll happily fund Spurs rebuild if it means we get their prized jewel and most important player.

Yep - completely screwed himself. I do feel sorry for him in a way, at the club he loves and you could see the progress under Pochettino - Spurs became CL regulars, the new stadium came, he reached a CL final - it was probably easy to be swayed by those around him that it was a good deal to sign such a long contract. He's always maintained he'd leave if the club wasn't progressing so surely his agent would have put some kind of release clause in his contract if they miss out on CL? He's a prisoner of his own making if he does want out now.

This one just isn't a starter for any english club so I am unsure why there is so much speculation about it, Kane made his bed when he signed his last contract which was a very stupid move.

Levy will 100% not sell to a PL rival for anything under 100m minimum with 3 years left on his contract and there is no way a 28 year old who spends half the season out with injury is worth that, you'd be better of lumping your cash on Haaland instead.

Kane will be at Spurs until he can leave on a free in which then he will be 31 years old and might join City or United for a season or two for a final flutter in the Premier League before he joins Inter Miami.

Spurs have gone down in my estimation a lot since Jose took charge. I always used to respect them. My grandad supported them. Now they’re just a team on cnuts

I don’t want us doing anything to improve them. I think they’ll be a better team next season with £100m to invest rather than an unhappy and wasted Harry Kane

How are your view on Van Persie and his impact when he came here?
He came here after some eight seasons at Arsenal, with only a couple of cups in his bag, and a lost final in the CL as his arguably biggest achievement - which was from his first time in the club, where I don't think he was a starter.

The more I think of it, it's crazy how similar the two situations are.

He's be ideal for City, he'd score a bag load and link up a lot of play.

For us, he'd definitely improve us but we still need a top RW to have a chance at challenging.
Otherwise we'd still be lining up with Greenwood on the right, the kid is improving but hes still too young to be leading a title challenge.

Van Persie was a late bloomer and didn't get that striker spot and main man role until later on in his career. We wouldn't have bought him in the mid 2000s and when he started out Arsenal still had some remnants of a title winning team. Once he became a properly top player he was here within a couple of years. Kane has had his pick of clubs for 6 or 7 years but remains at Spurs.

Kane doesn't 'spend half a season injured' and even if we are lucky enough to get a bid accepted for Haaland, there's a rather tiny chance he'd accept a move here ahead of City, Madrid or Barcelona.

They were cnuts under Poch too to be fair. Given how soft Spurs teams were before that I don’t expect that to bother their fans which is fair enough to a point. More frustrating when they act like it’s not the case

Not all players are the same. Suggesting that Kane is mentally not strong is bollocks

Levy will be overseeing a team that is better known for hosting NFL matches at its stadium than actually winning titles. If I was a Spurs fan, I would be sick of my chairman being known for making sure he gets an extra £10m out of the pockets of petrostates playthings, rather than bringing silverware to the club.

Who knows. At the moment he's the Vice Captain and main man of a notoriously soft team. Let's see where he is next season.

I hate Kane but that's a bizarre evaluation.

Really? Like which recent games?

So you've not noticed how rubbish we've been since Pogba has been out? Just look at the away game at AC Milan. That sums it up perfectly.

Bruno and Pogba make Manchester United when playing together...not one or the other.
